Classic TV highlights on AmericanLife TV Network in January include ‘Combat!’s Pilot Episode, Emmy-nominated episodes of I’ll Fly Away and Homefront, and guest appearances by The Beverly Hillbillies’ Jed and Jethro on Maverick and 77 Sunset Strip.

- The American Family takes hold Sundays on AmericanLife, with several honored episodes of I’ll Fly Away and Homefront highlighting January’s schedule:
Sunday, January 14
* Rosanna Carter received an Emmy nomination for her guest appearance in the “What’s In a Name?” episode of I’ll Fly Away (9-10 p.m. ET/PT).
* I’ll Fly Away is preceded at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT by an historic anomaly: an episode of the sitcom The Courtship of Eddie’s Father, which features astronaut L. Gordon Cooper as he prepares for the Apollo 13 mission, later chronicled by Ron Howard in the movie of the same name – but with nobody playing Cooper. After filming this episode, Cooper was replaced on the flight roster and never went on the problem-plagued flight.
