I'm a big fan of Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C., does anyone ever recall the show it lasted from 1969-1960?1961. Then came the Jim Nabors Show.

I was a fan of 'The Andy Griffith Show', 'Gomer Pyle, USMC' and this variety series too. Mr. Nabors was not only funny as a stand-up and in skits, but he was a really decent crooner as well.

It did pretty good numbers for Thursday nights on CBS (a top 30 show both seasons), but fell victim to the May 1971 rural purge by Mr. Fred Silverman and his attempt to update and urbanize the Eye.

If anybody has heard about a DVD or a cable run of this series, I'd be interested in watching this again.
