Chrissy: Well...see Mrs. Roper, the world is made up of two kinds of people, twos and ones. Sometimes two ones become a two and other times one of the ones of the two gets tired of being a two and wants to become a one again, not that the other one of the two isn't a nice one, it's just that... two twos can't be a two without the one.

Well ya know, that is spelled that way because Jean-Luc is a French name.
It's not "John-Luke"...if you pronounce it that way you are pronouncing it wrong. It is "Jean-Luc" which is pronounced differently, and hence, it is spelled differently.

On the subject of trendy names........ Back in the olden days,in the 60's, when I was in high school, every girl was either named Linda, Pamela, Diane or Debbie!I would say that Linda and Debbie were the most prevalent! My name is Marlene and there was only one other Marlene in the school that I knew of! Montana Ponine - It's ok! EVERYONE pronounces it wrong. People usually say it "Morg-anne" and sometimes, they say "Morg-anna". I always have to correct them! I'm used to it, though.
Meg - We only have, like, one Megan at our school! I like that name, though. I think it's awesome! I always wanted to be a Megan when I was little.
Karli - Thanx! I lerb your name, too. It's really cool! Especially the spelling.
You all can call me Mo if you want. A lot of people do. It's been my nickname ever since I was reeeeeeally little.

Does anyone else tend to associate some names with people you don't like? I can't stand Alissa, Jesse, Ann-Marie, Alicia, Garrett, Kate, Kimberly, Shawna, Tom, Christina, and a few others. It's not the names themselves, really. It's the people I associate them with. The funny thing is that I know several people by each of those names, but the people who were jerks to me are the ones who stick out. Weird.

I don't like when names such as Pamela and Janice are shortened. They sound fine the way they are, but when they're Pam and Jan....I dunno, I hate it. Linda, Amanda, Andrea, Shannon, Danielle, Tiffany, Kelly, Donna, Bambi, Names that start with CH instead of K, like Christa or Christine (Krista, Kristine- look SO much better)Paul, Charlie, Kim, Pete, Lizzie, Patricia, Pauline, Felicity, Rachelle, joined names like Mary-Anne, Rachel, Marge, flower names, I dunno, there's so many, and I can't think of the ones that I really despise...oh and of course, my own name. It's very dull and not pretty. Oh ya, and Pepper. Do people REALLY name their girls that, or is it just on tv????
Then there's rhyming names(first and last)...examples:
Amanda Sanda or Martine Matinez. wtf?

AMEN to that!!! I always say that when my parents decided to name me Kristen in 1982, they didn't know how many other parents had the same idea. All through elementary school, it seemed like I was always in a class with at least one other Kristen. And don't get me started on people not knowing how to spell it!
But I'm mostly over that now. After 20 years with this name, I'm used to it.

When my mother was prgenant she was going to name me Ashley Nicole... bleh.. Very dated... almost everyone who is named Ashley or Nicole was born in the 80's. I'm glad my mother switched to Lacey Christine. I don't like my name that much but I think it's much better than the first.

-I don't like the names Ashley or Jessica b/c they're soooo overused.
-Bob...I know at least 5 and they all act like retards. So I associate that name w/stupid-acting people.
