Question: I'm taking my portable DVD player and my laptop on an airplane in my carry-on bag. When I go through security, do I take these out of my bag and have the people set them aside so they don't go through the detectors?

They'll usually have you pull out your laptop and run it through the check area. I am almost certain. I have never taken a laptop with me, but I have seen people in front of me asked to take out their laptops out of the bag.

yep. when i flew to Chicago a few months ago, i forgot to take my laptop out of the case and they told me to take it out. id just pull out all of the electronics and leave things like clothes, CDs, etc., in your carryon.
where you flying to? :D

I believe she's flying down to Texas and then Hawaii. I could be wrong on that, though... But pretty sure that's what's going on, as far as flying is concerned.
