DVD set shipping

For any of you who may not have checked, my order apparantly has shipped and has a tracking number.

T/L has been really cool with their customers with this delay. My order should be here tomorrow so I'll report back. Has anyone else checked the status of theirs?

Yes, mine changed from backordered to received, so hopefully that's a good sign that it will ship within the next day or so. :)

My package is scheduled to arrive on Monday the 27th. So just a few more days.

I like how they gave each season a different color on the boxes, but I would have done it differently. Red is good for season one, but I would have chose blue for season two, green for season three, yellow for season four, and purple for season five. That would have been better.

I received mine yesterday and it is everything its been hyped up to be. I watched the first two episodes of season one (I want to skip to my favorites but Im trying to watch them in order) and the bonus features. I don't want to spoil the fun for anyone but it is definately what has been promised to us. The folks at Time Life were very cool along the way and I would be hard pressed to not have this chosen as the TV Show on DVD of the year.

Mine shipped on Tuesday. I talked to a nice customer service guy who said that it shipped Media Mail. I called because I never got an e-mail saying that it had shipped or a tracking number. I hope they shipped it from Virginia. If so, I should get mine tomorrow. *fingers crossed*

Yea, I probably should have paid for the overnight shipping and I would have had these already. UPS ground is not making deliveries on Friday the 24th, taking the day off. So my package is scheduled for delivery on Monday. One of the first episodes I'm going to watch is A Spy For A Spy. That's one of the best episodes.

There are two different lists of the Get Smart episodes. One list goes by air date and the other by production date. The list I follow is by production date that has Our Man In Toyland listed as the first episode of season one after the pilot, Mr. Big. The second season has A Spy For A Spy listed as the first episode. The production date list is the more accurate one, but it looks like Time-Life chose to put the episodes on the disks in air date order. In the opening scene of the Our Man In Toyland episode, the Maxwell Smart character sort of introduces himself, tipping the viewer off that this was the first episode filmed after the pilot.

Well, I didn't get mine today. I'm hoping tomorrow, but I have a feeling it will be sometime next week. Oh well. Hopefully I'll get them soon. :)

Received the DVD's today. They are very nice indeed. While I think they could have done without the Barbara Feldon intros for each episode, it's a nice extra touch and shows a lot of effort was put into making the DVD's. The packaging is a little odd with the phone booth box. I think they could have done a better job with it, but it suits the purpose and protects the DVD sets. I'm not much for the extras, mainly interested in the episodes but I will check out the extras over time. It's great to at last have the uncut episodes, and better yet that they made all five seasons available at the same time. That is outstanding. I'll have many hours of enjoyment watching the episodes. So Get Smart fans, if you don't have these DVD's yet, order yours today! :D
