Well, I got my first sip when I was 4 years old, courtesy of my father. My mother would have killed him if she knew about it at the time.

I'm 22, but I don't like drinking. Try being in college and not being a drinker; people look at you funny. The one and only thing I've ever drank was one sip of a berry wine cooler and I thought it was gross.

NO! I take that back!!! Once at a wedding reception they had that Sparkling White Grape Juice stuff. Well, me and my friends were all drinking the white stuff. Then we went up to get more and the guy gave us this red stuff and we just figured it was the red kind (cuz there are white and red Sparkling Grape Juice) So we were drinkin it and we were like EW! It was nasty! And the bride (haha that sounds funny) took a sip of her daughters and then she goes up to my mom and goes, "They are giving those kids wine!"
So in answer to your question:
IT'S YUCKY!!!!

I had my first sip of beer when I was 3 or 4, and I've had a couple of sips of different types of alcohol before, but I don't really care for it. I plan on only drinking occasionally in the future.

Ya know, it is possible to enjoy an occasional drink responsibly, and not get drunk.
Anyway...hmmm....my first drink...ya know I don't remember for sure, though I would say it was probably a sip of my parent's wine or something at dinner. I know my first drink was at home. As for how was it? Disgusting....I hate wine and champaign, and I still do, though I am able to stomach it more now than in the past, and I have tasted a few kinds that are decent, though still not very good.

I don't remember the first time I had
my first drink, but I can tell you
the first time I enjoyed getting drunk,
on "Prom Night". I was about 17 years old. My best friend and I decided to go
to Prom together since we didn't have
dates and since it was our last time
we "might" spend together. I was already
for Prom, at the very last minute, my
friend called, she had a date for Prom,
obviously I was wayyyyyyy beyond mad.
So, my mom let me spend a few hours with
my aunt and cousin. My aunt bought me
1 or 2 bottles of wine( I don't remember
which, I was so drunk). I drank the
whole bottle or two bottles by myself.
A few hours later, my mom came over and
picked me up. I couldn't walk or stand
up straight. We got home, I went to my
room, layed on my bed and I could have
sworn the ceiling was spinning.

When I was about 5 I drank my dad's beer. You really had to be there. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif
I wouldn't encourage any of you to drink but like Bootsy said earlier drinking and gut puking don't automatically go hand in hand. She didn't put it quite that way but you can drink without intending to or ending up becoming blind drunk. The first drink I remember, I must have been 6 or so. My folks had people over and I tasted some beer. I made a face like that guy who used to be on the bitter beer commercial. I don't really count that as a first drink though. My Dad always had a fw beers when he came home from work so sometimes, when I was a teenager, he'd pour a little in a glass for me. He knew that I was old enough to drink on my own if I chose to so I don't think he was wrong in doing that.

I had my first alchohalic beverage at age 8, it was Sparkling Wine, and I have it occasionally, but I grew by the age of 10 to notice how dull the stuff was, and I have it maybe 4 or 5 times a year...but I only drink 1/4 of the whole thing.

The only sip I ever had and ever will have was when I was at a New Year's party for '00. So my friend and I picked up what we thought was a glass of sparkling apple sider, and took a sip. It was actually sparkling champaign. It was nasty and made my mouth taste all funny. Next time I'll be careful of what I drink.

My first drink was a sip of my dad's beer when I was pretty young. I'm not that much of a heavy drinker now. I'm more of a social drinker. I have NEVER gotten wasted before. That is just stupid and irrational. I can tell when I've had too much and I stop myself. When I go out, we ALWAYS have a designated driver. (One of my friends never drinks so she does the driving). It's just a matter of knowing your limits. When I go to functions, I probably drink too much, but I've never had a hangover or forgotten what happened the night before from drinking too much because I know my limitations.

To all of you people who have promised yourselves that you will NEVER get really, really blind-drunk - make sure you keep that promise. I wish I had. The number of stupid and embarrasing things I've done while under the influence is unbelievable. :O Don't be a moron like me.
There is nothing wrong with drinking as long as it's done in moderation. Unfortunately a lot of people don't know the meaning of the word.

Hives- that's simply it. And it sure itches like heck. Oh well, to me, alot of alcohol tastes like crap anyhow, with the exception of some wines. But I can't get as far as drinking half a glass w/out breaking out into hives. In any case, I do have much better things to do besides drink. And as for beer- yuck- that stuff tastes like sh*t. I didn't care for it was I was 4, and I still don't care for it now.

I was probably 2 or 3 and took a drink of one of my parent's beer. I drank wine with dinner starting when I was probably about 6 or 7, but it always had an ice cube in it and it was never that much. It's always been a normal thing in my house to have wine with dinner. Now I drink beer and a few other drinks, but I have never been drunk or thrown up after drinking (will admit to being slaphappy!). Moderation and knowing your limit is the key as others have said, but a word to all atheletes: everytime you get drunk you lose a weeks worth of training.
