View Full Version : Did you vote today?
I deliberately put this HERE, as opposed to the politics board, as I know what the answers of the entire board would almost assuredly be - options 1 and 3 This board's a better indicator, IMO, as there's at least a potential for #2 votes.
So, did you vote today? Yes, no, or ineligible (Due to Age, not being from the US, etc.)

I did not get to vote because I am away at college and it would've been my first time and me and my family didn't know how I would be able to vote. I wanted to though. Had I been at home I would have.

I'm not sure how the laws in your state are, but here in Kentucky, if you're a college student, you can register to vote in the city that your campus is in - even if you live in a dorm (obviously you can if you have an apartment, as that's a permanent address)

Here in Ohio you can still vote at your home absentee even if you go to college out of state.
I had to wait an hour to vote today.
Seems to be some issues with voting in Ohio again, imagine that

yeah I voted for ur mom :happyface
Really, I can't yet. I'll be able to vote in the 08 Presidential Election though. They let us register at school during the spring and by then I'll be 18.
I voted this morning with my mom. One volunteer there said "you're voting you look so young". It was a little dishearting, I know I don't look 27 but I thought I could at least pass for 18.

its just amazing the high turnout
its also amazing how WELL the democrats did
EASILLY winning the house by a healthy margin
and its not official
BUT IT CERTAINLY looks like they have won the Senate too--- which noone expected!!! even Lamont himself, thought they would fall 2 or 3 short of that!
Congratulations are in order!!!!!

I'm not registered. But I dont really care that much, honestly, because I don't know much about local politicians. I'm really going to try to educate myself for next year, though.

Yeah, I voted for the first time too. I got about half what I wanted(no close national impact races here), pretty much straight Republican. The results nationwide were disappointing though.
