Husband is losing his hair? This guy on the radio this morning said that his wife recommended he get a ahir transplant because she is not happy with the hair is has lost. That sounds so IMMATURE and DUMB and can't believe a grown women can be so SHALLOW. Is this ridiculous or what?

I think it's shallow too. A man can't help it if he's losing his hair. My husband has all his hair, but if he lost it all tomorrow, it wouldn't bother me. I love him, not his hair.

There's nothing wrong with the wife not liking it. She has a right to her feelings, but I don't think she should make him feel lousy over it.

It is surprising that it makes that much of a difference to his wife. I don't think most women really care that must about hair lost, and personally I would rather have a guy just shave it off than have a combover or something.

women do it all the time for men

breastjobs
hair dye
plastic surgery

why would a man not want to look better for his woman too?

Let me ask u this--- i assume u have never been married

have u ever been in a serious-commited long term relationship with a woman?

if u have, then i am sure u can understand the concept of doing something for your partner?

I am with Solomon on this one. To get a hair transplant to please your wife is stupid. If she can't accept the person for who he is, then she is SHALLOW. Plain and Simple. That goes for any woman who tries to alter her appearance to please a boyfriend or husband. If you can't accept your wife or husand as they are, then how much do you REALLY love them?

It is shallow. What if he had Cancer and was in treatment and lost his hair because of that treatment?

If she was that shallow, she should have looked at his father, all the males in his family and see if baldness runs in the family, if it did, then don't marry that man you shallow bitch!

I don't care. As long as the man I am in love with remains the man I fell in love with and cares for me and doesn't care abt how I change, etc. That's all that matters.

Hey lady, get over it. One day your looks will change and you will get wrinkles, you will sag, you will lose your tight, toned body and hopefully your husband won't be such a shallow person like you!

its not a question of loving them as who they are
its a question of looking the best u can

i love my wife for how she looks, but if she wants to better herself, great!

do i agree? no
i wouldnt do it
BUT i see nothing wrong with someone trying to look their best

if a woman has small breasts and gets bigger ones-- great
if a woman is fat, and loses weight-- great
if a man is bald and has a hair transplant --- great

just because YOU may not want to do it, doesnt mean its not manly if someone else does

Through rich or through poor, through sickness and in health, and as long as you both shall live. That pretty much expresses my feelings on this subject. You should NEVER let a vanity issue be that important in your life, regardless of whether you're a man, or a woman!!

That woman sounds very shallow and selfish. So what if he's losing his hair. It doesn't mean that he's no longer a good husband. Besides, if he really wanted it done, he should only do it for himself.

I think some woman are shallow
but so are some men
but we live in a shallow society.

How many guys won't date "fat chicks"
how many girls don't like short guys?

the list goes on and on.

The average female, spends 418,000 in consumer beuatiy products in her life to appeal to the male population.
Cosmetics, creams, waxes, razors, makeup, nylons, plastic surgery.
And when asked, 86% said it was to appeal to their mate, or to keep their spouse/significant other attracted to them-

I think we get more superficial as time goes on.
Both genders (shrug)
As BrianD says- if you care that much, how much do you love the person.
Its one thing to want someone to better themselves like losing weight for health reasons, or wanting them to quit smoking for health reasons-
but as far as I know, loss of hair isn't a health risk.

And, just out of curiousity, if its shallow for a girl to not like bald men- does that mean most men, dont' care if a girl is bald?

Just curious what men think of that...trying to imagine lamonts face if mrs. lamont came home bald tonight.

As a Man I want a woman to take good care of her Hair, Hands, and Feet. I don't focus on Body Size at all

You beat me to the punch. I personally think that if someone asks you to do it would equate to telling a woman to get cosmetic surgery (we all know how that would end, DEAD man!).

However if a male wants to get the implants for his own self esteem then I see no problem with it and certainly would not say it was "unmanly".

I started thinning at 17 years old and it drove me nuts for several years, at 25 I started shaving it all off and most friends hardly remember me with hair. I contemplated implants when I was younger and it did affect my self esteem. Much like someone who may be overweight who wants to change their appearance but with balding there is not much you can do about it.

Also remember bald was not really in style so to speak until relatively recently. Now there are many people with a full head of hair who prefer to shave it.

I say that if a man is losing his hair, he should just shave the rest of it off or keep the rest of it super short. I don't like hairplugs or combovers they look cheesey. For the most part, bald is sexy.

Oh you are so damn right Solomon. Yesterday when I went to run errands, I seen a guy who shaved his head....OMFG...he should grow his hair back QUICK!!!! The back of his head looked like those wrinkled bulldogs...IT WAS GROSS!!!!! My daughter said it looked like his head was soaking in water too damn long and he got the wet wrinkling look. It was horrible. It looked like his head lost weight and he had all this excess skin just laying there.

Aren't those for men with erectile dysfunction? If so, that is more abt a man's ego and HIM wanting sex, rather than the other way around. Especially with Viagra nowadays.
