Hi, I've switched from using Windows to GNU/Linux about a month ago. I had dabbled in it since June but then I finally replaced Windows altogether with the Freespire distro and then after using that for a while installed Kubuntu, which I'm using right now. :)

I run SuSE Linux in a multi-boot configuration but I use Windows most of the time anyway. It's hard familiarizing yourself with *nix quirks growing up from a DOS worldview so to speak, but I'm slowly but surely getting it. :)

I tried Linux a couple years ago, but couldnt get my wireless card to work so I couldnt get in the internet. I liked it tho, I should try it again now that its a little more mainstream.

I've used many different Linux distros over the years but I just recently replaced my Edgy Eft Ubuntu with a fresh copy of FreeBSD. I'm more of a BSD/UNIX guru than Linux but Linux sure is very user-friendly and a good alternative for people who want to get away from Windows. Linux or the latest greatest PC-BSD :).

I've used Linux excusively now for over a year, best decision I ever made, I got so fed up of Windows and with Vista coming soon it's not any better. I'm an advanced user and got bored of Windows and was seriously tired of viruses, spyware, adware, etc. I'm immune from that garbage now.
