What are you the biggest fan of?

Okay, we all have obsessions. And we all have claimed to be "such a big fan" of at least something.
Now, I can only expect all you Nancy fanatics will say "The Division"! or something, so I'd like to hear some other things you're really into. That goes for everyone else as well. I'd like to hear other's interests.

Alright, I'll start off answering my own question.
Now, I am the hugest fan of...Harry Potter. Alright, I said it. Alright, I already have my tickets off of Fandango for opening night. Alright, I've read all four books and waiting desperatly for the fifth volume of the series. Alright, I have a pair of Harry Potter socks. I also have a pillow case and throw. Alright, I call ignorant people "muggles" under my breath.
Alright, I'm obsessed.

But you know what's nice about liking Harry Potter? I don't feel like a dork liking it. Because I know MANY, upon MANY of my peers who like it just the same. It's nice conforming once in awile.

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! You said the magic word, my friend, because I am so OBSESSED with 2 main things. Villains being one thing...I have SO MUCH stuff on villains, and I raid the Disney villain store every so often just because I can. I think I've said it enough but I don't care...I'm obsessed with Hans Conried! I bought the rights to the website http://www.hansconried.com (it's in a slight transition phase right now as I'm changing from geocities to angelfire for the other pages) and have SO MUCH INFO on him it's coming out my ears! I own a few of his movies, almost all his radio shows, and a few autographed things. I know the person who wrote his biography, (coming out next summer) and will very well end up being the official unofficial authority on the man as far as internet sites and personal knowledge is concerned. He was Thorin in The Hobbit, played Captain Hook in the original Peter Pan, the slave in the magic mirror for Disney programs, Dr. Terwilliker in Dr Seuss' 5,000 fingers of Dr. T, and a BUNCH of other things I could go on and on about. Yeah, you could say I'm obsessed.

But here's somethin-you couldn't ask for a better actor to be obsessed with! He never drank, smoked, or did drugs; he was always the gentleman, but still was able to "let his hair down" like the rest of them; he kept himself and his family out of the public eye so well his kids just thought he was a normal average dad; and if nothing else, he started working young-playing middle aged roles while he was still only in his 20s.

With as big as my obsession is with FOL, (ask any of my friends, they are almost tired of me talking about it) there is ONE thing I am more obsessed with: STAR WARS!!!!

I absolutely LOVE Star Wars. You should see my room, I have the figurines all over my room. I have several big electronic ships (they're cool) and I even have a couple of pictures taken from the movie. Posters? I have them all! I even have some that the theaters were given that they were allowed to keep because I friend of mine was a manager at a theater.

But anyways OMG Harry Potter!!! Cokies, you said you call ignorant people "muggles"? I curse them under my breath!! "Advada Kadevra"... I know that's the killing curse, I'm so mean to some people, but I am so obsessed it's not even funny. I have all these figurines of Hermione, Harry, and Ron.

Other obsessions- Starbucks. My doctor said I am going to get sick from all the caffine, I drink so much of it. I mean, it's just SO delicious!! Also, Lucky Charms. I cannot get enough of Lucky Charms. I eat them morning, noon, and night. Half the time my family will be sitting down at the table eating chicken and all that stuff and I'll be there with a bowl of sugary, non-nutritious cereal. Sad.

But the biggest thing is Broadway musicals and showtunes and basically anything else theatre-related (musical or not). I got to all the school plays at the high school I'll be attending next year, I see as many movie versions of musicals as I can, and I buy showtunes all the time (Sometimes I get the original Broadway cast, sometimes the movie soundtrack, but NEVER the revival recordings). Musicals are just so much FUN! I adore them!

From this obsession comes obsessions over certain musicals, specifically Guys and Dolls, Chicago, Peter Pan, and Sweet Charity, among others.

And of course, the actors onstage! Gwen Verdon, Vivian Blaine, Chita Rivera, Robert Alda... Love them.

1. NASCAR and (more specifically) Jeff Gordon- This sport rocks! Nobody better tell me race car drivers aren't athletes because you'll have to face my wrath! Here's to hoping Jeff clinches the title this weekend. NUMBER 4!!!

2. Richard Dawson- well, I guess that's kind of obvious. I love being obsessed with a man that most people are like "Who?"

Here's the list:

1. Lucille Ball. I love watching her shows and reading books about her. I usually watch her everyday. She is so talented and I find her to be THE greatest female comedian that ever lived.

2. The Lucy Show. I love this series so much!
Lucy Carmichael is so funny along with Vivian Bagley and Mr. Mooney. I watch this show at least five to seven times a week.
Sometime I hope to make a website about "The Lucy Show" and one of these days (far-distant future) I hope to create a book about this hilarious show.

3. I Love Lucy. This is what got me started on Lucille Ball. This show is a classic! I love it and I have seen all of the episodes plus the LDCH episodes at least seven times each. I still enjoy watching this show. This is my all-time favorite.

4. Classic TV Shows. I absolutely adore watching classic tv shows from Three's Company to Laverne & Shirley to The Munsters, ect. Classic TV is the greatest.

5. Chocolate. I love the taste of it.

6. R&B/Pop Music.

And to a lesser extent...Steven Tyler. Ok, I'm obsessed with him. And Joe Perry. But I love all of them. They are the only celebrities that I actually bothered to read an autobiography of (normally I wouldn't care that much, and it really is kind of frightening how much minutiae I know about them.

I would say Aerosmith is my longest lasting (going ever since I discovered them about 10 years ago) and biggest obsession. But I also have lesser obsessions that come and go periodically, namely,

Dar Williams. Folksy Grrrl with a guitar, activist, stays after shows until everyone gets an autograph, cutie pie with a great voice and lyrics with substance...what more could you want?

The Melting Pot. A fondue restaurant. This is the best restaurant in the world. The food is grand. You get this little fondue pot right at your table. You can get like cheese fondue, or steak or seafood, and you get veggies and dipping sauces, and let's not even get into the chocolate fondue dessert, with strawberries, and bananas, and marshmallows. *droooooooooooooooooool* I am actually salivating right now just thinking about it. Plus it has a great, romantic atmosphere. And basically, I'm just obsessed with fondue period, but this restaurant is the height of any fondue experience.

The Facts of Life. Been my favorite sitcom since I was a wee one.

The X-Files. Hands down best drama ever made, at least for the first few seasons, until they lost their focus with all that conspiracy and mythology crap.

Star Trek, mostly Voyager.

The X-Men.

Animals. I love 'em all, even the ugly ones.

Oh here's a weird one....for some inexplicable reason, I am absolutely obsessed with Angkor Wat. Ok, so maybe I can explain it. Well first of all, I think the architecture is just brilliant...and ever since I heard that it was like lost for a long time until someone just happened upon it deep in the jungles of Cambodia....that is just a really cool notion to me, that you could just be walking along in the jungle and happen upon this magical lost temple....

I am also obsessed with ancient asian art. I love the style of art and architecture of all the ancient asian nations, and India too. And when I say art, I mean, like everything...architecture, clothing, furniture styles, etc. etc.

St. Louis Cardinals- I am a huge Cardinals fan. I've scheduled trips to see friends just to see them play there (Minnesota) and a family reunion just happened to fall when we were going to be some place (San Francisco). My father says I can recite batting averages which I really can't, but I never miss any news on the Cardinals. My favorite player growing up should be inducted into the Hall of Fame next year (Ozzie Smith) and my dog just happens to be named Ozzie.

What else? Television shows such as FOL, MASH, and West Wing. Used to be completely obsessed with X-Files, but Bootsy's comments on that explains my feelings perfectly. I read obsesively about history. Especially World War I. I can answer just about any question you ask about it. Lastly, I'm very obssesed with reading fan fiction online. General Hospital, West Wing, and FOL stories are really popular with me!

I'm a big fan of a lot of things.

First, the University of Florida Gators. I was never a big college football fan until I went to my first game in 1993. Since then I have been following the team very closely. I was so happy when they won the 1996 National Chanmpionship, which just so happened a week and a half after I graduated from UF. I'm very hopeful that they'll play for the national championship again at the Rose Bowl. I would love to see a UF verses University of Miami (florida) matchup. Go Gators!

I am also a huge fan of The Monkees, The Beatles, and Garth Brooks.

I am a big fan of dramas like ER and The West Wing. I also love comedies like the Wonder Years, Cheers, M*A*S*H, and (duh!) Facts of Life.

I'm also a history buff. WWII and the 60's are the eras that I read a lot about.

Chocolate. I am the ultimate chocoholic.

Lastly, I love animals, especially cats.

Well, I am the all-time biggest fan of the television sitcom "Veronica's Closet." I am absolutely infatuated with that show; I have all 66 episodes on tape. I also am a huge "Will & Grace" fan.

I am also the hugest Milwaukee Bucks fan on the planet! GO BUCKS! They're 8-1 for the first time in over 20 years!

Bucks vs. Lakers in the NBA Finals - Milwaukee's gonna win!

ER - Oh my gawd, I am like the BIGGEST most OBSESSED ER fan you'll ever meet. I'm in lerb with Doctor John Truman Carter III, played by Noah Wyle. He's so damn hot! Also, I memorize those big medical words from the show and run around shouting them at home, at school... wherever! I can NEVER miss an episode cuz if I did, I'd die. No one is allowed in my room and no one is allowed to call me downstairs when ER is on.

The Division - I'm obsessed with this show, too. I like to jump out at people from corners and yell "FREEZE! SFPD!" and scare them. You can't disturb me while I'm watching this, either.

Star Trek - YES... I'm a big Star Trek fan and I'm not ashamed to admit it! My dad and brother always used to watch this show when I was little and they got me into it. Luckily, TNN is showing it now. YaY! I must admit, I sort of have a crush on Data. I know he's a computer, but he's such a cutie!

The Facts of Life - I became addicted to this show when they first started airing it on N@N. My favorite episodes are from seasons 2-7, the ones with Mrs. Garret in them. I also prefer the ones where the gurls are back at Eastland. I always sing the theme song in school! I wish I could go to a private school and have my own little Mrs. G.

Designing Woman - I got into this show over the summer. Suzanne Sugarbaker is great! It's a sitcoms that can actually make a person laugh out loud.

Golden Girls - I used to watch this when I was very little. I'm so happy that it's on Lifetime! Rose is my favorite.

Chocolate - I am a MAJOR chocoholic. Chocolate is yummy!
