the pilot episode of this on our local CW station. (I assume it was the local station & not the CW network)
Anyway, I've seen the pilot a couple times, but this time I saw something I never noticed before in it. When they show the exterior of the Heffernanes house, the front door is different from when they show the interior.

And, I wonder why they didn't keep Carries sister in the cast?

Was the pilot the one where Doug hangs out with the dad? I just saw that one too and the sister was on it. I thought Carrie was nicer on the pilot and Doug wasn't as funny as he is now.

it's the one where Arthurs wife dies, and later his house burns down so Doug & Carrie agree that him & Carries sister can move in to their house.

The reason given I believe for not keeping Lisa Rieffel in the cast, was because she wasn't really needed and they had a difficult time finding stories for her. As for the exterior being different than the actual one shown on the Heffernans house, that's just one of the inconsistencies with the show. You'll notice that there are a lot of inconsistencies in the show.

yea, a lot of shows have inconsistencies. MASH & THE ODD COUPLE have TONS of them!
