Verdict in Jill Behrman case

Jurors have found John Myers II guilty of the murder of Jill Behrman. It took them less than an hour of deliberation. He will be sentenced on December 1st:

While I am glad he was convicted I kind of wonder about the prosecutions theory. They think he killed Behrman because he was mad that he had broke up with his girlfriend? I think they could have came up with something better than that. I mean that just doesnt seem right to me that he would kidnap a woman he didnt even know and shoot her in the back of the head with a shotgun because he was mad that he broke up with his girlfriend. Why he killed her I dont know but I am pretty sure it wasnt for the reason that the prosecutors said he did it. But the important thing is he got convicted, I am surprised the deliberations were so short.

Could they be implying the idea that John Myers targeted Jill because she happened to be a reminder of his ex-girlfriend? I've heard stories like that.

Yes the only think I can think of was since his girlfriend dumped him maybe he was down on women and saw Jill riding her bike and decided to act out on his hostility. I wonder if he had made any derogatory statements to friends or family about women around that time and maybe they entered that in as evidence.

I'm glad that this has come to a resolution. I'm curious if he ressembled the man who attacked the other bicyclist shortly before (after?) Jill's disappearance, because he may have been responsible for that too.

It took the jury under an hour to find the guy guilty? I've done a few jury trials and all I can say about that is, "Daammmnnn." Must have been a slam-dunk case, as I've found you usually have ONE juror who finds reasonable doubt and takes time to sway.

I think it's entirely possible that Jill could have reminded him of his ex-girlfriend. Speaking from a prosecution standpoint, Jill could have been wearing something that reminded him of his ex-girlfriend or she could have tossed her head in the same manner that his ex did and it could have prompted some sort of psychological trigger.

Has anyone else here had an experience where you've met someone (or just seen someone) who reminded you of someone else in your life and whether or not you want to admit it, it influences how you feel about them?

Or I could just be the lone duck here.... quack quack. :)
