Lumpy: Did you go out for anything, Dud?

Dudley: Well, I went out for football, but I got my finger stepped on, so my mother made me quit.

Eddie: Well listen-- I went out for basketball and I got my hair pulled, and my mother made ME quit.

Dudley: It's not that I was afraid of getting hurt or anything; it's just that-- well, it's kind o' hard to play the flute with a busted finger.

How is that? I'm assuming you like it if you own it (duh). I remember thinking it looked good when I saw the previews. Isn't it a comedy about lesbian cheerleaders or something?

(P.S., Mossop, I answered your question on the other thread about what Wendy's is like, don't know if you saw it or not).

I remember Beta. But then we are nearly the same age, in fact I think I'm a few years older than you. I don't however, own any Beta movies. Fortunately my father had the foresight (or the luck?) to buy us a VCR, since ultimately that was what stuck around.

As for what I own on video:
West Side Story
Grease
Forrest Gump
Speed
Robin Hood: Prince of Theives
Seven
The X-Files: Fight the Future
Romeo and Juliet
Pulp Fiction
Sneakers
Blair Witch Project
Half Baked
True Romance
Shag
The Craft
Bed of Roses
Untamed Heart
Miss Congeniality
House Sitter
...and a few more I can't remember. Those are what I personally bought myself or received as gifts. It doesn't include my family's quite extensive video collection, which probably includes at least 300-500 movies.

I have that on video too! I watched that on TV when I was little.I was about 8 or 9 years old! I loved it! I used to play Wendy. My sisters and I would play Peter Pan all the time! Yeah, I am old enough to remember the original broadcast! Glad that you appreciate it! With your love of musicals, have you ever participated in any school or community productions?

It's a great movie! Wendy was always my favorite character! As for school or community productions, my junior high never put any shows on, and I never did any community shows, either. So this year (9th grade) I joined drama club and am now on stage crew for "A Christmas Carol", which is the only play the freshman school puts on. I didn't audition because I've never really acted before (just one-liners in church plays), and I have a tremendous stage fright. But next year I'll go to one of the senior high schools, which puts on 4 shows a year, and I plan on being involved in all of them somehow.

Bootsy -
'But I'm a Cheerleader' is actually pretty funny. It's about this cheerleader (surprise!) called Megan whose parents and friends think is gay. She denies it. Her parents then send her off to 'True Directions' - a "rehabilitation" camp to turn gay people straight. It has the exact opposite effect on her though cos she meets this other girl and falls in love with her.
Whether you enjoy the movie or not will, I suppose, depend on your veiw of gay people. There is a lot of stereotyping in the movie but it's not done in a nasty way so it's actually quite funny. Also, the romance between the 2 main characters is cute (the ending is really sweet).
