We are real lucky here. Although I love the heat, for the those who don't, we are lucky. The heat starts up inland, towards the valleys and heads south and up towards the north.

Our temps today were 70 degrees. Everywhere else is in the upper 90's -100's. Down south is very hot as well.

Las Vegas was to reach 116 and Phoenix was 112.

OK, I live in FL and one of our weathermen(oh sorry, meteorologist) said yesterday "It was rather warm today, in fact, it's going to be really warm the rest of the week".

Well, duh, it's July in FL, what else did you expect?!!

I don't mind the heat much during the day, but I wish that when the sun goes down, it cools down a bit, like in N.Calif. I'll take 60-65 deg.every night.

I kept hearing thunder this afternoon. There was one really loud thunder but no rain. We had a pretty bad thunderstorm the other night. I was at my mom's and her electricity flicked off & on 3 times. 40 mph winds, too. I actually do love thunderstorms.

Yesterday, it got to 106 degrees here (I think we tied the record for that). Right now, it's 98 but feels like 105. They're telling us it'll crack 100 again. Hot, sunny and yucky. I almost collapsed from heat stroke yesterday, it was that bad. I don't advise walking around for hours in temperatures like that.
