I met Cara Hates Eggsit [Archive] - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I've researched and found out the true identity of Cara hates eggsit. We agreed not to reveal her real name or too much information, so as not to have her privacy be invaded. I'll call her Myrtle because her appearance reminded me of a white haired elderly woman I once knew by that name.

Myrtle is 81 years of age. Her husband, of 61 years, died 6 months ago. Her neighbors and friends, who, to a person, love Myrtle dearly, say that she took it quite well and has in fact rallied in spirit. Myrtle is active in her community, a small town in Texas that I'll call, Hopkins. She's a church goer (Baptist) and is the hit of every bake sale and pot-luck with her pies, cakes and her prized, "Toe-curlin' Texas Chili". (I had some. Yep, it's toe-curlin all right.) Ever since her husband's death she's been making bi-weekly trips to Austin. Only her close friend, an elderly gentleman, who asked that I refer to him as Rafe, after his great uncle who fought in the civil war, knows what it is that she does in Austin. I--probably the umpteenth person to do so--asked Rafe which side his uncle fought for. Rafe answered, "The American side."

Rafe told me that Myrtle's Austin trips had something to do with music. "And I don't mean church music," he said with a wink. That might, perhaps, explain Cara/Myrtle's familiarity with rap music. Rafe says that two of Myrtle's "juvenile delinquent" great grandkids, a teenage boy and girl, accompany Myrtle on these Austin trips.

"They're not bad kids, really," Rafe said, "They'd do anything for Myrtle. I'm pretty sure that they've been supplying her with 'medicinal marijuana'. Myrtles' got ailments, you know, but she ain't too fond of doctors. I watch her house when she's gone and take care of her dog, Jones, who's old as Moses but thinks he's a pup. He tries to play with my cat. He gets his nose raked every time. Myrtle gets on me about that, but hell, what am I supposed to do? Dogs and cats. You know?"

Myrtle and Rafe took me on a tour of her home. Nothing remarkable about it except for she has an immaculate and oversized kitchen in comparison to the rest of the house. She also has a room that she keeps locked all of the time. Even Rafe hasn't been in there. I asked her, "So what's the big secret, Myrtle?" Rafe Quipped, "I think she's got posters of all her favorite singers and musicians on the walls in there." Myrtle blushed and smiled, then she said, with vigor, "By God, Rafe, that's right! And movie stars too!"

Myrtle asked rafe and me if we wanted to stay for 'supper'. I didn't think that Rafe really needed an invite, because they seemed to be so chummy, but he played along. After my pausing he asked me, "Well, whataya think?" Myrtle must have seen my eyes starting to water 'cause she said, "Don't worry, Wimp." Then gesturing at the grandeur of the kitchen she said, "Can't you see? I can cook other stuff 'sides chili!" And she did. In the time it took Rafe and me to split the better part of a six-pack of Lone Star, she'd served up a supper of bean with ham soup, corn bread and fried okra; all amazingly tasty.

As Rafe and I were leaving and expressing our gratitude for her hospitality, she said to me, "Tell them little darlins' on the board," (she sprang into rap mode)" I ain't no skank. I jus luv gettin' rank..." Or something like that. I don't want to misquote her too badly. I cut in, "Myrtle...Myrt!" She stopped her poetry short, and I told her that I'd be sure to tell them.
"Thanks. And Kitt," she said, "Thanks for visiting."
"You're welcome Myrtle/Cara. It was my pleasure."

Maybe your getting pissed @ her because she is speaking of you in a nice way. She's not telling you your a bitch, fu----, or whatever. I think you truly want people to not like you. Just my 2 cents.

Either Cara has been putting us on with the tough act or she enjoys being angry more then anything in the world. So, I turned the table. She would either enjoy being the star, however fictitiously, or she would get mad. Well a mad Cara is nothing new. Is it? Now, in this story Cara/Myrtle is loved by one and all and she's a locally famous cook. What there is to be angry about in that is kind of difficult for me to see. I had a great deal of fun conceiving the idea for the story and writing it. I'd like to thank Cara for her inspiration. But I hope she moves on now to a less angry act for everyones sake.

Karli. The point was to write a story fiction for fun and entertainment. Not a lot different from the reasons why we all watch television.

One more thing folks. I've dropped hints but some of you have missed them. I'm a guy.

So Texas is "gay", huh? Well, that's real intelligent - since when did "gay" become an insult anyway?
I didn't really understand the point of Kitts story but it was mildly amusing and I partly feel sorry for CaraHatesEggsit cos, aswell as having no sense of fun whatsoever, she also has a major anger management problem.
Is quoting Eminem supposed to be scary or something? Cos it isn't.
And I love how everybody is saying things to Cara like "I'm not insulting you...don't get mad at me....please don't take this the wrong way...ect ect". Are you all scared of her just cos she cusses at you? Cos it isn't intimidating at all - if anything, it has the opposite effect. If someone has to cuss and swear to have an effect then it just shows what a weak person they really are.

Cara, I don't know if you are a 14 year old girl or something else. I do know that you're a fraud. Your a self-absorbed loudmouth childish bore. Mossopp said he really didn't understand the point of my story. I'm not sure what point Mossopp had in mind but I can tell you, that one point was to give you the chance either to show us who you really are by having a laugh about something rather then screeching crap for a change, or to expose yourself, once and for all, to be nothing but a phoney. If your so mad at the world because you don't get new shoes every week or something, why don't you go away and not come back until, if and when, you learn to face your problems and yourself head on.

Please tell me something. Do you even know what the word "gay" means? Obviously not. How can you be "gay" for living in a certain place? That's just as ignorant as you can get. Also, I don't think that Lisa Whelchel Forever is a dumbass. The only dumbass here seems to be you.

I aint a dumbass and I am smarter than all of yenz I ainr in school right now cause I have out of school suspension but I always got A's on my spelling tests but when I type I dont ****in feel like putting the whole word so shut ur damn mouth about my "spelling"

If you don't like putting the whole word, why would you say "All of yenz" instead of "all of you"? You is shorter than yenz. And don't say "It's just one more letter," because you've typed "makin", which, with one more letter would make an actual word.

And on many occasions you've misspelled words that have the same number of letters, so I don't really get why you say you don't want to type the whole word. You've said "Muther, "Gurlz," "Thugz," etc. It takes just as much time to type those than it does to type the actual word so I'm just going to assume that you can't spell.

And by the way, whoever said "top speller in your class" did not mean spelling class. They most likely meant your grade at your school. Besides, you said yourself you always get As on your spelling tests, which means that you at least take a class in which you learn to spell. Most likely an English or language arts class. Either way, if you learn to spell in it, it can be considered a spelling class anyway, much like most English classes can also be called a reading class, or a grammar class.

However, I DID get my first report card today and if anyone care (I know you don't but humor me!) I got a 95.5 average! YAY! lol, ok I'm going to shut up now because I'm being very annoying.

Lavern just pointed out inconsistencies in Cara's typing and her claims. That's my point to this post. If I thought Cara was a pathetic 14 year old with a bad attitude I woulldn't have teased her with this story. But because I've seen inconsistencies in how she tries to put herself across to us and none of it is pleasant and much of it is quite rude I'd hoped to unravel the game that I believe she's been playing and see if she might stop it. Well Bootsy, I hadn't thought of that nor have I done it. I'll take your word for it though. What I noticed is fluctuations in language and spelling; like little slip-ups in the character. But, I don't know. I'll have to say that I underestimated how rambling red-faced angry she would get over a silly little story.

Cara, I have a couple of questions for you. I'm not toying with you, these are real questions that I hope you will give honest and thoughtful answers to. Some of the board members were confused by the story. Personally I don't know why. They didn't know that I made it up. I thought it was obvious that I'd made it up. But you said you were confused. You knew that I'd made it up, so what were you confused about? You went on to say, in your own way, that the story made you angry. Would or could you explain what exactly it is about the story or my writing it that made you angry?

I mean, if I came online and saw that someone wrote a long story about me being 81 and traveling with my deligquient grandchildren while they supply me with marjiuna, I would be a little "what the f*uck?" too....

and face it, none of yuns are physcartrist (spelling!) and so the whole "turn the table to find Cara's inner soul" isn't really your turf to do. I'm not going to apologize for the story. I write stories. This was one of them. The libraries are full of stories written by people who took the time to write them. It's called fiction. I meant no insult to Cara. We all know she is not a grandmother. Personally, I kind of like ol' Myrtle. Maybe my hoping that it would bring Cara out of her tough act was misdirected and maybe I misjudged who Cara is. Cara has been cursing us all for a long time. It doesn't seem all that weird that someone, me, took a different tact to try to put a stop to it. You, Amanda, might not have seen what I wrote above your post before you wrote yours so I'll repeat what I said there, I wish Cara well.

I think part of the problem here is that so many people can't even begin to fathom that someone would actually write a story for fun. Automatically, they assume you are a freak with no life or something just because you wrote a story. Personally, I think writing short stories, or drawing, or playing an instrument, or something like that is a more worth-while use of someone's time than watching TV or movies. (not that I begrudge those either, I like TV and movies...), just that people should have other interests that expand their horizons and their talents....

Personally, I enjoyed the story, whether it acheived your intended purpose or not, it was well-written.

I agree with you, everyone has the right to make up stories. Everyone has the right to write whatever the hell they want. But when you write it directed towards someone that didn't grant you their permission to do so, it ain't for fun. What if someone came on here and wrote a story about you being a dumb whore walkin the streets of NY, you would take it offensivley, right? Well, what if that person didn't mean it to be offensivley, maybe they were just trying to see how you would react or some other reason. A little exagerated, but the same thing is happening here. You wrote a story that you thought would HELP Cara, but it didn't, it back fired, no big words are going to stop that.

Most of the time we all ignore Cara with her threats and curses. I'm just giving her some respect. I'm replying to her posts as best as I can. I'm holding a conversation with her. I don't where it will end but not giving her credit for having her own say wouldn't be doing her any favors. One thing she can do is speak up. I didn't write the reply to her and her english teacher, I only quoted Stephen King. I believe it to be good advise to pass along to anyone with any interest at all in writing. Since Cara is quoting her english teacher then maybe she is interested in writing, How would I know?

There is a novel that came out recently by Joyce Carrol Oats titled "Blonde". It's of course, fiction but is obviously about Monroe and many of the people that she knew. I'm telling you that to remind you that stories and books are written about real people that the people involved might or might not like. Reminding you also, Cara not liking it was not my intention here. We can just never be sure what to expect.

Guys, I wished I had posted sooner. I liked the story. I thought it was funny and entertaining. I mean I think Kitt has got quite an imagination.

In my Writer's Workshop class we had to go through magazines and cut out a picture of a person and tell a story about the person. Kitt did this his own way without the picture and just wrote a humorous little tale to tide us over.

Frankly with all that is going on in the world, I'm glad he posted the story so I could laugh at least for a few minutes and forget all the trouble that America is going through right now. jmo

If I had pretended to visit Cara at her high school and had written a story about what I saw and heard there, then there might be an issue here. I didn't do that. I made up a character and borrowed some of Cara's personality traits based on what she has freely shared with us through her posts. She has written about drugs. She has written in a kind of rap lingo and has quoted rap lyrics, and she is a wee bit cantankerous. Also she can actually be quite funny. Her swearing burns my ears but hey, she's a part of what makes the world go 'round.

Some of you seem to be having a good time complaining about the story, but what about Cara so far. She initially lashed out, cantankerously, but the only thing she actually complained about was the name, Myrtle. She asked me, "What's a ** Myrtle? I'll answer that. As I wrote, I did know a woman by that name. This is what a Myrtle is. It's a small tree with glossy evergreen leaves, fragrant white or rose-colored flowers and black berries. And--I like this part--among the ancients it was sacred to venus. No insults there.

In a later post Cara asked that I not write stories about people that I don't know. In a subsequent post she said that it was okay with her if I want to write stories but that I shouldn't write them about people that I do know. She must not have meant at least one of those statement. Maybe, since some of you seem to think that Cara should be fightin' mad, how about this: could it be that Cara doesn't take this as seriously as you all seem to think she ought to?

I like what you are saying and back you up 100% on this. I had posted a topic relating to what you are saying. I want to be able to enjoy this board without hearing a single "F" word every five seconds or people getting heart attacks if Nancy is not someonelse's favorite. If this how you feel, I'm sure that there are other that feel the same way. When I read some of these messages,I do laugh sometimes because some are ridiculously funny. If I had a 7 year old reading the board, I wouldn't want them to read and then ask: "What does that person mean when they said, "How the F--k could you not like Nancy McKeon? You should DIE! DIE! DIE!" LOL. Come on guys, let's set a good example for those who are younger and impressionable.
