Prep without the attitude. I don't think I'm better than everyone else.

Well, what defines a "punk" and a "prep"?
Because really, I despise the people who think they're punks and listen to Blink 182. That is so NOT punk. At my school, you're more of a poser if you're a "punk" then if you're a prep. At least preps keep to their own, and are actually quite nice if you get to know them. "Punks" are just so fake here.
I wouldn't really classify myself as anything really, besides being a "floater".

I'm neither. I acually don't have any idea what you would call me. I'm more sporty I guess.

Lumpy: Did you go out for anything, Dud?

Dudley: Well, I went out for football, but I got my finger stepped on, so my mother made me quit.

Eddie: Well listen-- I went out for basketball and I got my hair pulled, and my mother made ME quit.

Dudley: It's not that I was afraid of getting hurt or anything; it's just that-- well, it's kind o' hard to play the flute with a busted finger.

[Eddie and Lumpy suppress laughter]

Well since Britt is a Jineddy (Jinny and Teddy) and Morganne is a Jinanybody (Jin and Anybody) I'm a JinMag, now you can figure that one out on your own... OH! And Jenn is a JinKate! Isn't that the most interesting tidbit of information ever?

Yes I totally agree with the Blink 182 thing...

Prep..but, again, without the 'I'm better than you' attitude...that annoys the crap outta me. Yeah..I wear Abercrombie, A&E, Structure, some of Old Navy (nice tees), and thats about it.

Well if the definition of "prep" we are going on here is buying clothes from name-brand stores, then I certainly am not one. I have never bought a piece of clothing from Abercrombie, Express, American Eagle, Eddie Bauer, Aeropostale, etc. etc. etc. I did once buy something from (gasp!) the Gap (actually my mom bought it) but it was because I desperately wanted cargo shorts, and this was like 10 years ago when cargo shorts weren't in style, so the Gap was the only place I could find any...

...I wouldn't really say I'm a punk though either. I used to be a bit of a troublemaker, but not much anymore.

I have a VERY wild sprit. It's difficult to control at times. That's why I have blue hair and a Star Trek uniform. In that sence, you could consider me a punk. But I'd rather consider myself neither Punk nor Prep. I prefer...Trekkie. He! He! He! He! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

troublemaking would fall under the category "Punk" right?? Oh Lord no one wants to hear how much I get in trouble in school. Well for some reason, I just can't figure out which one I am. I love Express, Aeropostale, A&F, American Eagle, Charlotte Russ, all those stores but yet again I get an in house suspension at least once a month and I have had a lot of hair colors...

PREPS SUCK! And I don't think there is such a thing as a prep "without an 'I'm-better-than-you' attitude." I am not exactly punk, but I guess I could be considered it.

What's a 'prep'? And what's a 'kicker'? I've never heard those terms before.
I guess there's these little sub-cultures everywhere but over here it's mainly split between neds and flunkies. I was always called a flunkie at school but I wouldn't have classed myself as one. Guess I was just a bit of an outcast. I'm glad to be out of school now cos in the real world people don't just slap a name tag on you and label you just like that. I'm glad I'm free of that.
I still don't fit in though...but I don't think I'd want to.

Preppie is a person that always wears the latest fashions, always dressed really nice, and, ususlly, keep to themselves. They usually don't socialize with the "lower class". In that sense, they are sometimes considered snobs. Not all of them are like this, this is just a generalization.

As for kicker, (ME) it just means dressing "western". Almost always wearing boots, wranglers, cowboy hat, belt buckle, etc... The shirt depends on the occasion. If I'm just working at the ranch, or just have a class to go to, I usually wear a t-shirt. However, if I have to go somewhere and look nice (ie work on Friday's), I usually wear a buttondown dress shirt, no hat. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
