My ex girlfriend always comes up to me and asks if I think she is fat. I don't like to hurt people's feelings, but I don't like to lie especially when it's so obvious I am lying. I said to her "YOU must think you're fat, otherwise you wouldn't be asking."
I've learned that when people ask questions about themselves, like "does my hair look good?" (not an honest question, but more for reassurance in the cases i mean), or "am i fat?" they are usually looking for reassurance or expecting to get the answer they want. I don't think people really want to know the person's TRUE answer.
How do you guys answer self based questions, especially if someone asks if they are fat/ugly/etc. and you think they are?
