Hmm....well I don't know who all is making you feel unwelcome, or what all is going on....but I would say that if you are growing to hate things you like just because of this board, then maybe it is time to leave. (or give it a break at least)

I'm sorry you feel this way, but I understand how you feel. There is this other message-board/e-mail list community thing I was on for awhile (it was for one of my favorite musicians) and there was this one person who kept making me feel very unwelcome there. There were other people who supported me, but I found that I was growning sick of this musician because of the crap I put up with with this person on this list. I quit the list, but actually I couldn't listen to that artist still for several months afterwards. I have just now started listening to her again after almost 6 months of quitting her music cold-turkey. Maybe I'll go back to it someday, but I kind of doubt it, because I know that one person will always be there.

At any rate, like I said sorry you feel like this, but maybe you should quit for a bit, like a month or so, then come back and see how things go?

Please don't misread my post....I have no problem with you whatsoever and don't like to see people go, I'm not like trying to push you or anything. Just sharing my experience which is kind of similar.

I know how it feels. I post at this other TV message board site and when I started posting there, there were a couple of people who were so rude to me because I didn't agree with them and the moderator let them get away with it. I stuck it out and met some really nice people there and I still post there with no problems. Don't let jerks ruin fun things like these message boards for you. If they know they're bothering you, they're going to continue to do it.

Bluestone, I consider you my friend. One of my first on this board. I would never want to see you go. But I would hate it if you hate Nancy and the Facts of Life. Especially FOL. If you really feel like you must leave the boards because a few jerks can't keep their cool(sorry) then I will support you in your decision. But I think you should still enjoy FOL. And if you must leave I hope you will return someday, maybe things will be better then.


I've learned through personal experience that if you are not happy with the people you hang out with that you should leave them, because you will only find yourself feeling contempt toward those people, even if they are not at fault. If that is your choice then just remember that I am your friend and will welcome you back whole-heartedly if and when you return. It really is you decision either way. But I shall miss you if you go.

I think you should stay Bluestone. I really don't think that you did anything wrong. If there are some people that don't want you here than that is their problem and not yours. Everyone has their own opinion and the notion that it's wrong to dislike FOL or Nancy Mckeon is absurd.

Please don't quit because of a few immature people. If you do leave then it will make them think that they won. Just try it for a trial basis- if you don't feel comfortable by the end of November then maybe just start coming once in awhile.
