Do You think that FirstLookMeadia will ever release more Unsloved Mysteries dvds?

I think the producers should realize that the only people out there shelling out money for UM dvds want to see the old ones and mainly by season. I think they should make a very limited amount of season dvds that people can order directly. This store by my house has not sold any of the current dvds. I sure did not buy them cause my own personal collection is just better. Honestly, I don't think they should have even put out the ones they have. In the end, I think it would be more profitable to just target the wants of major fans and there really is not that many of us to warrent wide releases.

If they are gonna make more and continue this theme crap, surely there is enough for a Bank Robbery/Fraud set and enuf Wanted men n women for a fugitive set? I think it would be a collective SO UM board members wet dream if they were to release season sets!

If it's any consolation, I voted on www.tvshowsondvd.com for UM to be released in more box sets. I also left a note stating there are alot of loyal UM fans who would like to purchase them by season.

I don't think it'll do anything good, tho.

I would love if First look just started releasing full season dvds... what is the point of the theme ones, they didn't fly off the shelves.

But being a bit of cynic, I would say unless somebody who truly loves UM gets the rights to this show, we've probably seen the last hurrah for commercial dvds. There just isn't enough money for them to do it (especially with UM off the air now) at this time, hard to see when that will improve.

I don't think that the release of UM by theme was necessarily a bad idea, it's just the way they did it. For example, the bizarre murders box set was mostly comprised of the less desirable newer cases. And the best of box set was mostly a hodgepodge of segments that were already available on other collections when there was about a thousand or more segments that weren't already available on dvd that they could have chose from.

One potential benefit to releasing UM by theme is that you could have many people buy the DVD's who aren't fans of UM per se, but are fans of particular themes (e.g. UFO's, Ghosts, Psychics, Miracles, etc.) I don't know for sure that this was their reasoning for doing it, but I've aced several college marketing classes and they probably released UM by theme to better focus on target markets.

This is not to say that it would be a bad idea to release UM by season. In fact, I would be all for that idea. I love variety, so it's kind of nice to jump to a ghost story from a psychic story and so on. While UM being released by season seems unlikely at this point, it is still totally within the realm of possibility that it could happen. One of my other favorite shows, the Twilight Zone, was released in volumes with each volume containing a particular theme, and was also subsequently released season by season.

I've just seen The Twilight Zone for the first time, a couple weeks ago. (The older ones from 1957-1962) Well written, a message behind every story.

Now, I'm hooked! :)

I don't think there will be anymore but I'd like to see another one on Ghost done if they did decide to release another set.The first ones great but it didn't include every ghost story they did.

That's true, although 5 additional ghost stories found their way on the best of set. I agree that another ghost stories set would be good, but I'm not sure if there's enough material to make another 4 disc box set. Maybe it's possible though.
