"What Two Shows from the 70's would you like me to replace Sanford and Son and Good Times with? Whatever you say and those will be the two choices.
I would Choose Chico and the Man and Rhoda. What Two shows would you choose between these?
Rhoda
Chico and the Man
Alice
Maude
One Day at a Time
Mary Tyler Moore
Lou Grant
CPO Sharkey
Phyllis
Odd Couple
Welcome Back Kotter
Already Gone

I would choose Alice and One Day At A Time because I haven't seen them in a long time and I could record them on dvd for my collection.

I don't think none of those shows on the list would garner ratings like S&S and Good Times. So, I wouldn't drop them, but I'd add Alice and One Day at a Time.

No one said that TVLAND or N&N had to drop their current shows, but they need to add some variety. Variety is not 2 hour marathons at 10AM, 12PM, and 4 hour marathons 12AM-4AM, and Gunsmoke and Bonanza weekends from 1PM-8PM. How can people that watch these shows that bring in "ratings" continue to watch them so much?

I think that any show that has been on TV Land for more than 3 years should be replaced. Sanford and Son even though it gets good ratings needs to go because it' been on too long. TV Land picked it up in January of 2003 and now we are approaching 2007 so it's time to get something to replace S&S than may ALSO draw good ratings

If the President of TV Land came to my house, I'd punch him in the face and say "You screwed up one of my favorite channels!" Then I'd call him something that I'm not aloud to say on here.
But to answer you question honestly, I'd go with both of Solomon's choices. "Chico and the Man" and "Rhoda". Though I know they wouldn't be as high rated as the other two, those are the two shows I'd rather see on TV Land.
