I don't know if it qualifies as a category, but All In The Family and The Jeffersons had an identical plot. Archie and Edith and George and Louise entered their grandchild in a baby photo contest.

I know there are episodes in shows where in-laws compete. Maybe a dueling/competing grandparent's theme? Dueling in-laws?

Something along those lines.

Pavan
10-15-2006, 05:38 PM
The Flintstones had a baby contest thing I think. I think they called it a beauty contest. Fred enters Pebbles.

As for wrecked cars...8 Simple Rules had that sort of as Bridget dented the mini-van slightly. I hate Full House but didn't they have a wrecked car episode, too?

Under Lamaze, you need to add Murphy Brown. "He, Ho, He Ho, it's off to Lamaze We Go" and Wings should be added to sitcom fires. First in "Burnin' Down the House," and then again in "Porno for Pyros."

For the "on the ledge" episodes-
there actually is an episode of WKRP in Cincinnatti called "Les on the Ledge", I believe, which involves Les being on the ledge!;)
And a similar episode in Family Matters (where Steve gets drunk and gets trapped on a high ledge- I believe there's a later episode where Steve, Eddie and Waldo all get trapped on a fire escape)

And what about the giant alien cockroach coming and invading the household and attacking everyone and keeping everyone at bay until the live-in alien saves the day episode? Man, those just show up all the time!:)

...well, okay- so I guess maybe that was only on ALF!;)
