all of a sudden you discover another song on the CD that you like as much as the song that you bought the CD for? That has happened TWICE to me. Happened again last night

I don't buy CD's...I download. The last CD I bought was the soundtrack to WALK THE LINE. I wanted to own the CD because the actors Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon did their own singing. I don't know when that will ever occur again. Before that CD, the only CD's I purchased were rare or hard-to-find CD's consisting of oldies music (R&B, soul, etc.) If I couldn't find the song to download, then I resort to buying.
I do recall one of my first albums that I bought, it was Donna Summer's BAD GIRLS. I bought it for the two songs but later on listened to the other songs and I fell in love with the whole album. That is a rarity.

I've had that happen before, I bought a Charlie Daniels CD for the song "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" and ended up liking a couple of other songs on there.

You should have said that in your first post. Also, you never told us what CD's those were and the songs.

The New Song-"Love will find a way" is better
Does it go like this:
Know the rain wont last forever,
find a way to make it better,
as long as we can stay together,
love will find a way.
Gonna make it new tomorrow,
sing of all these tears in sorrow,
better listen when I say,
love will find a way.
?
I know that song, Christina Aguilera has a version of it and its really good (yes I'm a guy and I'm not gay, so I like a song by CA, sue me)

I would chose Tori Amos and Madonna over the Isley Brothers. The Isley Brothers is the Worst Singing group I ever heard

I never said that I like The Isley Brothers, I never cared for their music. Although I do like a lot of music from the 70's, their music just ain't something I like. Tori and Madonna I've never liked either.

Bee Gees connection!
The Bee Gees wrote Heartbreaker for her in the 1980s. I really like the song. Have you heard it, Solomon?

I liked her singing Heartbreaker, which the Bee Gees wrote. They've been known to sing it themselves, sometimes, in concerts...they did in one of their One Night Only concerts.
They're good guys, those Gibb brothers.

No i haven't heard that one. I also like Al Jarreau and my girl Natalie Cole
I never buy an album for one song. I always give the whole album a chance. You really do yourself a disservice if you buy an album and only listen to the radio hits.

Yeah, I think I did that with my Monkees box set. Found tons of songs I liked better than their hits.

Yes, I find that does happen. I'll buy an album off iTunes because I really like one or two songs, but then I end up liking the whole thing.

That's happen to me. I've decided to listen to whole album online before purchasing any cds. I find that to work best.

Yes, I have done that once. I bought this Swedish compilation CD in Sweden that has a duet by siblings, Jonas and Jenny Berggren, of Ace of Base. I didn't really bother to listen to the other songs. I listened to some of them, but I didn't really like them.
I just don't buy CDs anymore, so I just search for individual songs I like.

Back before internet downloading made it easy to get one particular song, I used to buy cds for just one song. Usually it was a soundtrack album that had a song from an artist I liked. There may have been times when I liked other songs on the cd, but not necessarily more than the song I bought it for.
