Charlie sheen: He's funny and he makes it look easy.

And actually, I really think I'm gonna have to give some props to Jennifer Lopez. I admit, she used to annoy the hell out of me. When I went to see The Cell, I was miserable, because I was thoroughly expecting an awful performance. Actually, I thought she did great in The Cell. (even thought the movie was only OK). At least, she far exceeded my expectations. No, her performance wasn't Oscar quality, but it wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination. If you all are judging her acting ability by The Wedding Planner, I suggest you see The Cell before making any final calls. The role in the Wedding Planner was such an uncomplicated, unchallenging role that it could have made any actress look bad!

I was gonna stand up for my main woman Madonna, but I see kittflynn beat me to it. Anyone who really knows what Madonna is like when she is not acting would realize that she gave a good performance in A League of Their Own, and a good performance in Evita. First of all, she did not sing through the entire movie, and second of all, it was a musical, so what do you expect? Madonna did not turn it into a musical, it was written that way, and I'm glad she got the part. I would not have wanted to listen to Meryl Streep or something sing for two hours.

Ok, please don't mention those bloody Olsen twins to me - I can't stand those two!! :mad:
I'm not gonna give a huge list of my favorite actors and actresses. If I really think about it there are a lot of people whom I would mention, not because of their talent, but because I think they're hot, which isn't what this topic is about (I have the suspicion that a lot of people have listed actors/actresses cos they fancy them and not nesessarily because they think they can act).
Anyhoo, my favorite actor is Edward Norton. He might be a bit of a control freak (from what I've heard) but I do feel that he lives up to the "Greatest Actor of his Generation" tag which many critics have given him. He was also in 2 of the best movies of the 90's - 'American History X' and the awesome 'Fight Club'.
I also wanna give Corey Feldman a mention. He's been in some real turkeys but he was an amazing actor as a child and he's in some of the best movies of the 80's - 'Stand By Me' (my all-time favorite), 'The Lost Boys' and, of course, 'The Goonies'.
I'm not sure about my favorite actress. Probably Marisa Tomei - I don't feel that she gets the recognition she deserves. I'm also in awe of Amanda Bynes - she's really talented for a 15 year old girl (those goddam Olsen twins could learn a thing or two from her). Everyone should keep an eye on Amanda - she'll be a huge star someday soon.

I have to admit I suspect the same thing! Unfortunately, the sad truth is that some of the ugliest and meanest people are some of the most talented actors. Helena Bonham-Carter and Jack Nicholson come to mind... :rolleyes:
