This year, join Nick at Nite in saving the best for last. In what has become a year-end tradition, we reward our viewers with a week long marathon of the very best episodes of our most popular show!
Think you can stay up for all of those back to back episodes? Where there’s a will, there’s a way. So, make sure to clear your schedule and get ready for some serious TV watching… it’s our holiday gift to you! So what show will it be? Roseanne? Fresh Prince? Cosby Show? Find out SOON!

They're joking right? I mean they already show too much of their popular shows, now they're acting like it's a Holiday gift for us?

And in the Christmas marathon, they can't show one of the three NewsRadio Christmas episodes. The second season Christmas episode is a classic, where Bill (Phil Hartman) believes the lobby Santa (David Anthony Higgins) is out to kill him. I understand the ratings were low, but for a Christmas marathon, you'd figure they'd show the Christmas episodes of ALL their shows.

I hate to always be so negative about N@N. It just gets me so angry reading all their new schedules and stuff that I just have to vent.

I whole heartedly agree. I think it sucks that they're not showing the Murphy Brown holiday eps either as well as NewsRadio.

Who wants to bet money that their favorite show by year's end will be... surprise, surprise... Roseanne? ohno:

Why would N@N make us guess on which favorite show would get a marathon? DUH N@N, it's Roseanne! If Roseanne is going to be my gift, I want to send it BACK!!!!

I bet my house, my benz, my WHOLE bank account that Roseanne would get this 'honor'. Got to make a mental note to make plans that night:rolleyes:

Wow, Nick @ Nite stinks. If you only have 3 successful shows on there, isn't it time to ring the alarm? Maybe they need a new president or programmer or something. N@N has been stinkin for years now.

You may think so, but their ratings are very good.

You may think so, but their ratings are very good.

Good ratings doesn't equal quality. It just means more people with ratings boxes watch the network. It is time for a change over at N@N. There is nothing wrong with any of the shows they show. It's just the WAY they show them that irritates me.

I know that as long as they have such great ratings they're gonna keep on with the lousy (but high rated) schedules. However, and I know this doesn't mean crap to them, but N@N lost a lifelong (well their lifetime) fan.

N@N used to be an escape from the networks, now it's worse than all the networks and the majority of people like it that way. For as long as I live, I'll never understand that, either.

When I posted with a link to this site on another board about the last nite of the Desiging Women marathon being replaced by a second Roseanne Marathon someone replied that Roseanne must be 1/3 owner of Viacom. The other 2/3 being owned by The Olsen Twins and Will Smith as those 3 shows (Roseanne, Full House, and Fresh Prince) are the only successful shows on the network. :p

You may all guess Roseanne for the year end marathon, and even though NIck at NIte does love Roseanne more than Fresh Prince, it's probably going to be Fresh Prince. It has been NAN's top show all year, and also it's almost like there giving us a hint by saying:Where there's a will, there's a way:, which was the title of a Fresh Prince episode.

We know its not Cosby, that's for sure. And I hate that they are making no changes to their lineup. It's been the same 4 shows in rpimetime since 2003. OKay, so a new show may pop up ijn primetime for a month, but after that, it goes to latenight. They really need to make some changes.

There next acquisition is Home IMprovement a year from now. I bet that will probably do good for NAN, so that might be the next big hit in 3 years!

What they need to do is add longer running shows that were actually popular (Empty Nest, Family Matters, etc), and see how they do. NewsRadio is not a bad show at all, but it didn't run for too long and wasn't hugely popular and N&N put it to shame on the network. Same with TVLAND. They added shows like 227, What's Happening, etc. that didn't last for too long and just shoved them to the side. Never did I think that Fresh Prince, FullHouse, and Roseanne would be so popular after their runs ended. These shows are being used way too much and should be moved to the side.

Did I mention that those daily marathons of the same old shows need to stop? Or that there should be more of the show rather than commercials? These stations are going to shame and are a joke. It's a shame the shows they air have to be put down because they play so much.

You were wrong if you thought it was going to be Roseanne. Fresh Prince has obviously been Nick@Nite's most popular show since it joined and nothing is stopping it. I would have been happy with either, but Fresh Prince will get stale faster, since they had 3 less seasons than Roseanne, imo.

Well obviously I don't keep up with what show on N@N is popular since I have better things to do with my time. Could have fooled me with the way they cram Roseanne down people's throat. Bottom line, I'm thrilled it's Fresh Prince even though i'm a little sick of the show, It's cool that The prince wins this title instead of Roseanne, that's what I feel, the end.

I'd much rather have a Fresh Prince marathon, but I'm sure most people assumed it was going to be Roseanne. In fact, the way N@N shoves Roseanne down our throats all the time, I'm surprised it's not their #1 show.

I say I'd rather have a Fresh Prince marathon because it's easier to sit down and watch a couple episodes of Fresh Prince, because there's no big story archs where you have to keep up with the show to know what's going on. With Roseanne, they have all the stories with the daughters and their boyfriends, and whatever else. That I feel like I have to know the backstory first. Of course by now, everyone should know the show, N@N is making sure of that. I'm justing saying, to me it's easier to catch a few episodes of Fresh Prince over Roseanne.

I still think this is a stupid, moronic marathon to have, no matter what show they chose. N@N should NOT spend a week, literally showing just one show.

That's the same thing I said, I agree with you, I would rather see Fresh Prince over Roseanne. Roseanne's storyline threw me off by the time Becky left with Mark. Then you got boyfriends moving in the house, the dumbing down of Jackie, the million and one gay people in a small town etc.

I don't know how you people don't see it. Fresh Prince has been run into the ground just as much as Roseanne, if not more. It's the only show on on Sunday nights now. Not even Roseanne has that distinction. Maybe it's because it joined a year later, but it's by far the most run into the ground show on N@N. Not that I mind that much because I'm a fan of the show.

i agree with both of you but I still think Roseanne would be better 72 episodes is only a quarter of its total episodes where as its half of fresh princes, but no matter what N@N is rediculous. no matter how much I love the popular shows I still hate the network...

Nick@Nite really sucks bad now. I've gotten sick of FP (I still like it, but i've seen every episode several times and i've only been watching for like a year) and no other shows interest me (i like MAY, but not at 5 am). The last time I watched it was in the summer sometime.

Designing Women and Newsradio in all honestly should not have been acquired by Nick at Nite. I think they would have did better by bringing 227 to Nick at Nite. I hate that ADW is bumped into the middle of the night like that. I guess they flopped also.

Lifetime or TBS should pick up Murphy Brown and air it in a good timeslot. On TBS it could air instead of one of the Home Improvement hours. On Lifetime it would be a good fit with Reba and Frasier. TVLand and NickatNite treated MB terribly.
