I think it sounds barbaric and archaic. Additionally, it is illegal to applicate the law to only one group of people and not to others. It's bad enough that we have detained so many people so long with probably only tenuous-at-best proof of their guilt, other than the fact that they are of Middle Eastern descent. It's a throwback to the days of keeping Japanese Americans in camps.
