LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - CBS has given a full-season order to its Emmy-winning comedy "The New Adventures of Old Christine."

As a midseason entry last season, the Julia Louis-Dreyfus vehicle had received an initial order of 13 episodes for its sophomore season. Following orders for additional scripts over the past several weeks, the network proceeded with a full-season pickup of the series for a total of 22 episodes.

In its most recent airing Monday, "Christine" averaged 13.6 million viewers, up from its first-season average of 12.5 million. Louis-Dreyfus won an Emmy for her title role as a divorced woman still on good terms with her ex-husband.

CBS is also switching two other Monday comedies, "The Class" and "How I Met Your Mother."

Since premiering three weeks ago, the much-hyped rookie "The Class" has struggled in the 8 p.m. slot, most recently drawing 7.9 million viewers. On the other hand, the sophomore comedy "How I Met Your Mother" has been surprisingly strong at 8:30 p.m., most recently averaging 9.3 million viewers .

Given the performances of both shows, the flip was expected. It brings CBS' Monday night lineup back to the original look that was presented to the advertisers in May.
