I cannot stand celebrities who use their fame to promote some political agenda. For the most part, mensa isn't exactly benging down the doors of celebrities trying to get their intellectual input into the issues that our nation faces. If they weren't famous, people would just roll their eyes at some of their ridiculous statements and move along. But because they are famous, we are all supposed to listen to what they are supporting.

I quit watching rosie because I could not stand how she turned her show into a podium for her political agenda. I watch to be entertained, not hear why she thinks the country should have better gun control.

I dilike any celebrity (especially music artists) who doesn't take his/her role as role model to young kids responsibly. They are in a special position where they need to act in a certain way. It's part of being famous. If they don't like it, they should leave the industry.

I feel the same way. I keep hearing all these people complaining about being a role model or telling the public they don't want to be, but tough; it's part of the job. No matter who you are, someone out there idolizes you and you need to be responsible. And like you said, if they don't like it, go flip burgers or something. I respect some burgers flippers more than some stars.

I'd been waiting for someone to ring my bell about this subject. Wild Child finally did. Tom Green. Rude behavior is part of the act with some celebs. In Tom Green's case he seems to have even over run the tolerance of his own parents. If that turns out to be just part of the act, I still don't see how he can continue a career based on how insensitive and obnoxious he can possibly be. Why is licking people's faces funny?
