I still think about and wonder about the many cases that still remain unsolved on the Bizzare Murders dvd. I don't have cable, but I still wonder if there are any updates on these cases.

Dave Bocks
Cindy James
Camilla Lyman
Womans Prison killings
Trailer Terror
Backyard bones
Skull Duggery
Burning bed
Dakota's double death
The other Intern
Bryan Nisenfeld
Bordella murders
Civil rights murder
Mistake hit
Friends till the end
Burned evidence
The two mary murders
Journalist Murder
Boston Strangler
Whatever happened to the other suspect in the colorado cop killers shooting

I still wonder what ever happened to these cases and done research, but I can't seem to find anything much. I was wondering if anyone knows any more updates on these cases and everything. I was just wondering if any of them had been solved or found anything else on these cases. So if anyone could help that would be great! Thanks!

Whatever happened to the other suspect in the colorado cop killers shooting.

If you are referring to Jason McVean, then he hasn't been found. But since both of his accomplices have been found dead, having offed themselves, I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually turned up dead as well.

The 'Backyard Bones' segment was bizarre. I would love to get an update for that one.

As far as Dave Bocks I don't think we will ever know the truth of that one as it involves the 'guvmint' and we all know how they are when it comes to their involvement in 'questionable' activities. Just like that Casolaro case - either the records will be 'sealed' for a thousand years or they will be 'lost'.

Backyard Bones, the case of Monica Rizzo right?

To my knowledge it's still unsolved. I believe her husband got into a shoot out with cops and was either killed by them, or commited suicide at the scene. One of the two. I don't think they ever identified the other bones or anything.

That's got to be the strangest case. Ever.

According to the segment, Dave Bock's remains are still 'in the plant', to toxic to move, if he's even in there.........or maybe the plant is too toxic to search for his remains.

Correct, however we will probably never know who did it and why. Just another big coverup by 'the powers that be', IMO. Perhaps we should recruit Bob Woodward to blow the lid off that case - he helped break open Watergate and now he's working on the Bush Admin.

It was neither. Leonard Rizzo was shot in the abdomen by a SWAT team member, but he was treated for gunshot wound and lived. A 1999 article at the following link should dispel the confusion:

Are you sure you're not thinking about Dennis Depue? He was the guy who killed his wife in 1990. Then in 1991, after being profiled on UM, he fired a gun at some officers (none of whom were hit), and soon offed himself.

No I don't think so. I think I was just a little off on the whole details about Leonard Rizzo.

I could've sworn there was an update regarding Jason McVean having been found dead some time later. Guess not.

You might be thinking of his accomplice, Alan "Monty" Pilon. Their partner-in-crime, Robert Mason, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, shortly after the 1998 killing of police officer Dale Claxton. Pilon's remains were recovered in October of 1999, just six months after the UM segment originally aired. So now, only Jason McVean is unaccounted for.

Some think McVean is still alive and that is certainly possible and obviously must be considered since his remains have not been found. Apperantly McVean was the one that was least committed to the group so it is possible that he ran off his own way and didnt kill himself and instead is still on the run somewhere. It is also possible he did kill himself and that area where they were looks like if someone killed themselves in a certain location or if a body was dumped in a certain location there that they would never be found. But I think these guys wanted their bodies to be found if they killed themselves. I think the authorities still consider McVean to be alive until it is proven otherwise. Personally I wouldnt put it past him and as I said it appears he was the youngest member and least committed member to the group so it is possible he decided rather than kill himself that he would just go on the run.

I wonder if UM was still on would they touch the mystery of WMD's in Iraq? Many feel that the weapons were hidden in Syria by baath loyalists.Others feel the intelligence was outdated. Um did cover a feel touchy political issues as the notable death of Vince Foster and many military deaths with political overtones.

I think the UM staff was very careful as to what political stories they chose to present on the show, and how they presented them. If that was the case, then it was wise on their part. It seems to me that they kept the politics in moderation. That way, the show wouldn't become politically biased.
