Dissect the Seinfeld Episode as it pertains to Real Life. This is FUN!

I thought this would be fun. As Seinfeld fans, we have probably watched all episodes around 20times each. At that point, you probably have noticed really silly things about each episode. What if these episodes happened in real life and you were part of the Seinfeld gang. How would YOU react to each situation by Jerry, George, Kramer, and Elaine. I think it would be funny to dissect the episodes. Try it. It is fun. Then, we comment on each other's analysis.

Here's what you do: Mention the title of the episode and then write your analysis of the episode as it pertains to real life. This is funny to read and fun to write.

I love this episode. This is one of my favorite episodes.

Here is my commentary on The Opposite:
We see George tell the truth almost all the way through the episode and in a way, it was refreshing for a new side of George Costanza. I thought the “opposite of tuna” argument was very funny. George says the opposite of tuna is chicken salad. Jerry said it is salmon. As a Seinfeld fan, what do YOU think is the opposite of tuna? Feel free to comment on this.

We see George pick up a nice looking girl (the blonde chick at the counter) and THAT is the opposite of all the women he has ever picked up. Have you noticed that most of George's girlfriends were ugly? This blonde was the opposite too. Jerry becomes “Even Steven” accoring to Kramer. What would YOU have done if Elaine through 20 bucks out your window? Me? I would have slapped her! Jerry is just too nice.

Kramer comes out with the coffee table book about coffee tables and I hear Regis Philman use the term “bonkos” to describe Kramer. I would like to hear Regis use “bonkos” from some of those crazy acts on America’s Got Talent. I thought the coffee spit on Kathee Lee was funny.

And our daring friend Elaine has some bad luck when she gets kicked out of her building and loses her Jake Jarmel. Did you think he overreacted to the JujuFruit thing? I did! She was right there by the counter in the movie theatre. Jake made it sound like she went ALLLL The WAYYY Out of her way to get the candy. I think it was fine, although I think Jujufruits suck anyway since they stick to the back of your teeth. It would have been twizzlers for me.

This is another classic episode. We see Bette Midler make her appearance into the world of Seinfeld as a softball player. The funniest part of this episode was seeing Kramer freak out with his infactuation with Bette Midler, but here’s my question: When Bette asked for the pineapple ices, was she trying to get rid of Kramer? I ask that because pineapple ices??? Come on!!! How often do you find pineapple ices? Look carefully as Bette has a weird look on her face as she told Kramer to get the Pineapple ices. Then, when he finally comes running with the ices, I think she was surprised that he actually found pineapple ices. I loved watching George tell Bette Midler that her movie Beaches sucks and then watching Bette get upset with George. Kramer’s rendition of Wing Beneath My Wings also had me cracking up.

The scene with the Asian girls in the beauty parlor badmouthing Elaine in Korean was hilarious as she had no idea what they were saying about her. I wonder if that is common in beauty parlors owned by good looking Asian women who cannot speak English.

Now, Frank Costanza says he spoke to the Reverend Sung Young Moon and that he had a face like apple pie. People, what the heck does someone look like with a face like apple pie? Show me a photo or something. Please! He reveals to Elaine about his foot odor. Like we really need to hear that, Mr Costanza!!!

Observation: I think this is one of the only few scenes in Seinfeld history where we see Elaine sitting with Frank Costanza.

Also, I loved when the cab driver threw the Jerry, George, and Jenice out of the cab. A typical New York City cabbie with a non-American accent.

Another thing I noticed: When Jenice (Bette's understudy in Rochelle Rochelle and Jerry's girlfriend) dropped the hotdog, look really close just before she drops it. It looks like she was sticking it up her nose!

Another classic scene in this episode was when that obnoxious Asian girl from the beauty parlor screamed out to Elaine “WHAT? NO BETTE MIDLER???”
