promoting my business

i'm stuck between a few different promotional products.

1. branded magnet calenders

2. branded post-it notes

there are pros and cons for each. has anyone had any hands on experience promoting a business this way? do either of them convert well? i have some buddies who claim some quality magnets are kept on fridges for years at a time.

i like the idea behind both calenders and post-it notes, but i'm just not sure which ones are more effective. i like the idea of the calenders because i could picture myself putting one of them on my fridge, but then again post-it notes could actually be used.. and on top of that, if you write stuff for someone else on a post-it note, now they just advertised your business FOR you...

but then again post-it notes don't stay around long, but magnets could be around for years and everyone who visits your home will see it.

over on the trading post
spammers come all the time and try to peddle electronics or cell phones

and NOONE ever buys the crap, b/c people dont go to a site like this to buy those things
