One thing I thought was really disgusting was when I found out that a few years ago, they came out with a Johnny Ramone Signature Mosrite (or it was by some other company since the Mosrite company went out of business some time ago), but it was selling for an outrageous price of $2000!!! :eek:
Which was strange because in the early 70's, Johnny Ramone bought one simply because it was only $50! I dunno, but doesn't it go against the whole punk rock deal to sell what was originally meant to be a cheap, economical guitar for a GAZILLION TIMES more than they originally cost, only because it has the guy's name on it? The Ramones, as hugely influential as they were, never were a big commercial band, which was a real shame. They rode around in the same old broken down van for years while their music heirs had tour buses and the whole deal. ohno:
