I just received this in my email from a friend of mine.

A DAY THE ANGELS WEPT

When they saw their destination,
When they saw their mission,
The angels wept.

When they saw their destruction,
When they saw the voices cry,
The angels wept.

They heard the windows shattering,
Heard the walls come down crumbling,
And so the angels wept.

They heard the sirens blaring,
Heard the innocent screaming,
And so the angels wept.

They tasted the silt upon the air,
Tasted the soot of evil hate,
Oh, how the angels wept.

They smelled the fear of the dead,
Smelled the blood, murd'rously spillt,
Oh, how the angels wept.

The Dawn had brought promise,
The Dawn had brought hope.

The Dusk closed with pain,
The Dusk closed with death.

And the angels wept.

IN MEMORY OF THOSE LOST TODAY IN THE TERRORIST ATTACKS ON NEW YORK, WASHINGTON DC, AND PENNSYLVANIA. HEAVEN HELP US ALL.

A day that will never be forgotten because WE will not let it be forgotten.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the friends and families involved in these horrendous acts against humanity. They will NEVER be forgotten. We will NOT let the terrorists cause terror all across our great nation. We will continue, and we WILL survive.

To those that lost their lives September 11, 2001: Vaya con Dios!

Lumpy: Did you go out for anything, Dud?

Dudley: Well, I went out for football, but I got my finger stepped on, so my mother made me quit.

Eddie: Well listen-- I went out for basketball and I got my hair pulled, and my mother made ME quit.

Dudley: It's not that I was afraid of getting hurt or anything; it's just that-- well, it's kind o' hard to play the flute with a busted finger.

[Eddie and Lumpy suppress laughter]

I applaud the people who are using their writing talents to express the mood of the hour. It's really courageous.

Wow, another excellent poem. That day was truely sad and the poem really got across how sad ot was and it still is. Everyone in America and other lands will remember September 11 and what happened on that day. The only great thing about it was seeing people helping eachother, people who they have never met in their lives till that horrible day. Those people were truely heros and they really deserved that wonderful poem you made, dedicated to them.
