911 a day to remember... I can still hear the screams of all the terrified New Yorkers and all the innocent people who where in the buildings at the time and on the planes. The World Trade Center, gone...in just 1/2 hour! This must be a dream, people say, but it's true.

That's being quite stereotypical, you know. Last time I heard, they identified the actual terrorists, and they are believed to have come from Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
The "butt-munches" that you refer to are Palestiniens(sorry, sp?), in the West Bank.
Anyway, I am tending to think bin Laden had something to do with it. If not, then you can't say it wasn't a surprise that he's a suspect.

My professor said something yesterday that is very true. She was in school when Stalin died and she remembered being so happy that he had died because they were taught he was the bad man (and history doesn't lie to us in this respect). It was a celebration, much like yesterday in the Middle East. Those children didn't understand what they were doing, much like my professor had no clue who Stalin actually was. They are taught to believe that the US is the bad guy. That is the saddest part, not that they were running around eating candy. Adults taught that behavoir. On a side note, it was very bad taste for the journalists to show that clip so close to the attacks. They should have waited to later that night, even today.

I agree. Tuesday in Cincinnati, they had to shut down an Islamic school for the day, because it was getting bomb threats from people who were enraged about the WTC and Pentagon. Well, I have my suspicions about who is responsible - as does everyone - but noone knows for sure just yet. It may be some time before the real culprits are identified and for this reason I think it is both irresponsible and dangerous to speculate such things at this time.
It seems like some people here are enjoying this whole thing just a little bit too much and not really taking it seriously. People have died and families have been torn apart, not to mention the impact this has had on America's economy and goverment and everything. When I see people on here screaming "THERE'S A WAR ON!!!" and '"Woo-hoo, now I can get the day off school!", I feel more than slightly troubled.
