I loved "Earl" at first, but now that I'm watching the reruns I find that I'm not that interested anymore. Every episode is basically the same thing: Earl tries to make up for something bad he did to a person. Earl himself is a good character and Randy can be funny, but none of the other characters appeal to me very much. They're too cartoonish and flat.
I don't want to start any fights here. Maybe once the second season starts I'll be able to get back into the show again. For me, a great sitcom is one that I can watch over and over again and still enjoy. That's just not the case with Earl.

You might like the second season then. The stars of the show were being interviewed, and Jason Lee said they are getting away from the list a little bit. I don't know if you have seen the last couple of new episodes but it has been about helping Joy stay/get out of prison. There has been hardly a mention of the list.
I on the other hand am the opposite I am not enjoying the new episodes. I feel the list is the show, and to take that away is hurting the show.

I'm the opposite, I'm really starting to get hooked on this show now. I didn't watch it much last season and though I liked the few eps I saw, I really didn't "get it". It wasn't until just a few weeks ago when I caught a few of the reruns that I really started to like the show. I think this season is pretty good so far. Last night's episode was hilarious.
