Honeyblooper in "We Spy"

Last night I watched the uncut DVD version of "We Spy" and found a honey of a blooper in the opening production number. Watch the German marching band. The trombonist loses his slide and tries unsuccessfully to retrieve it as the June Taylor Dancers kick it across the stage! The overhead shots make it easy to track the lost slide as it makes its way around the proceedings. I guess Mr. Gleason did not think anyone would notice and decided not to retape the segment.

I remember that very well and thinking how careful the dancers had to be in not tripping themselves up on it. Shows you how talented they were and how sticking to the old show biz saying "the show must go on" is so important.
