View Full Version : Well, it's that time of year again....

Tomorrow I have to start school. I don't want to go. I only have two classes where I know someone, I don't have anyone to sit with on the bus, and I have to walk almost half a mile to my bus stop. The only good thing about this year is that most of my classes are right next to my locker, and the one that is out of the way is Biology, which I have right after band and theatre, which I don't need any books or binders for, so I still only have to carry one class of stuff. This amazes me, because usually I get a second for locker (I'm at the end of the alphabet), but they don't do the lockers in alphabetical order so I'm on the main floor, and right next to the stairs.
The worst thing about this year? I have less than 4 hours to read all but the prologue to "No Language But a Cry". I just wrote my last paper today. I procrastinate WAY too much. Well, at least I don't have to writer a paper on this one. If I don't finish it, oh well. It's not like we're gonna have a test the first day (with my luck, actually, we probably will, but I supposedly got the nicest English teacher in the building).
One other bit of news I know you don't care about! I think my history teacher is the guy I had for Spanish/Latin last year. 'Cause they have same exact name (the last name is really common, but the first name isn't), and I know that he left my junior high. Well, I'll see tomorrow.
Since no one probably read this whole thing, I'll shut up now and go read my book.

"The advertisements for the show say 'Gwen Verdon as Sweet Charity.' Note that as 'as.' Not 'starring in' or just plain 'in' or even 'in the new musical,' but 'as.' She is that girl. She is Sweet Charity and forever will be."

I start the 5th. I still have to read Metamorphosis...I have read 1 chapter (out of 3) and was soooo bored by it...I couldn't fall asleep so I picked up the book and it put me right to sleep...I have a pretty good schedule...our schedule is really confusing b/c it's a roatationg schedule. So basically, I have 6 classes a day, and skip 2. But it takes you the entire first quarter to figure out how it works (well it did last year anyway)..but I have nice electives this year, band and cooking, both with very little homework! And I get all my hard classes overwith in the morning, in the afternoon I have all my non-honors classes plus one elective and PE... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif can't wait till next year when I am def. gonna get a study hall b/c juniors and seniors can come in late or leave early when their study is the first or last class of the day (this happens every 4 days b/c of rotating schedule) yeah well HAVE FUN IN HIGH SCHOOL! Its 1000000x better than middle school (at least for me!)
Good Luck on your first day and finishing that book!

I start on September 5th! I was just down Wildwood on the weekend. The weather was a little windy on the beach so I did not go. I went to the boardwalk though!

Okay! It went better than I expected... I had to walk a long way in the dark to get to my bus stop but I had three other people to walk with so it wasn't so bad. There's only one other person in my study hall (first period), but I'm probably going to become an office aide because first of all, I have no homeowrk first period, and second of all, e get a half an hour in fifth period to do homework and stuff. Anyway, there's one person I'm friends with in English, 5 in band, and one in Bio. Plus I actually have lunch with a friend! Never had that one happen before (And, surprisingly, they have good food in the cafeteria).
All my teachers are really nice, and my history teacher is the guy from last year, so that was cool. And, something cool, I have theatre fifth period, which is the period where everyone gets a half hour study hall. So for the study hall time we get to spread around the auditorium (during class we're on the stage), while every other class besides gym has to sit at desks.
I didn't finish the book, though I did try. Stayed up til 1:30 am (getting up at 5, ick), but I still have 80 pages left.
And I'm mad. Our paper for Much Ado About Nothing had to be 600-800 words. I barely made it by having 612 words. However, while sitting in study hall I counted again. 532. Grr. I don't know what I was thinking when I counted the first time.
Well, that's pretty much the ups and downs of today. Oh, and the school finally got air conditioning! Yay!

Just think of me as a short version of a tall person.
On April 24, 2008, Dana and I are going to meet in LA and handcuff ourselves to Nancy McKeon and Jay Harrington, and you're not. Ahahaha!
Jinny: Oh, come on, folks, please, don't be shy. Apparently anyone is welcome to crap all over me tonight, so please, step right on up!
Notice: If you copy me, I will be forced to send you to the outermost reigons of the pig where you will suffer miserably, for I am Jinny: Queen o' the Pigs and Penguins!

Well, come to find out, it wasn't so bad. The only class that I'm worried about is U.S. History early bird with Scary Maharry(Mr. Maharry, but that's his nickname. He even called himself "one mean s.o.b.") That can't be good.
All the rest of my classes are pretty much smooth-sailing...mostly.
