Where I live is a little and i mean very little town of about 3500. All we have is a K-Mart and about 30 restrurants all you can do where I live is cruise around McDonalds about 500 times, hang out in Farmers parking lot, and hang out in any parking lot in the town.

We got nothing, and we got nothing. Take your pick. Actually, we have a couple good malls... And I live about 40 minutes away from Kings Island so most people around here get season passes. So there's something to do in the summer, but in winter there's nothing.

"I do like the show.... It's fun to do. I like the character of Charity because she's so hopeful. She's never bitter. There's plenty of things that happen to her that could make her bitter. But she always thinks tomorrow's going to be beautiful. And someday it will be."
- Gwen Verdon

"The advertisements for the show say 'Gwen Verdon as Sweet Charity.' Note that as 'as.' Not 'starring in' or just plain 'in' or even 'in the new musical,' but 'as.' She is that girl. She is Sweet Charity and forever will be."

Well, I live in the Bay Area, so as long as you have your driver's license, you can pretty much do anything. Two theme parks, three malls in my town's general vicinity. The nearest beach to go surfing is a 45 minute drive. And if you want to go snowboarding, it's a four hour drive up to Tahoe. And you could go spend a day in the city as well...
But actually in my town itself, there is absolutely nothing to do. Speedboat racing, the Peddeler's Fair, and the Seafood festival, that's it. And that's only in the summer...

There is nothing to do in our town but cruise main street or go ut to Farmers Valley (Cemetary) and that's about it we do have a sweet treat resturant. Ok we do have a park that people go down and play basketball and tennis at but that's basically it. So I guess you can say I live in a hole in the earth.

Well...we have a ramada inn...and a golf course...the biggest buiding is Wal*Mart http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif ...and a TV station (just for advertising for the county though http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif )...we got a public pool...and the best thing we have is the arcade in the All star theatre. WHY CAN'T I LIVE IN NEW YORK CITY WHERE I BELONG?!

Anyway the mayor is doing TERRIBLE. He took down a thousand Stop signs and there's been at least 10 car crashes through the past months.

OMG, I want to live in New york more than anything!!!! But I'm gonna move there after I graduate from college hehe.

Oh gosh. There is too much to do in L.A. No matter where you go in LA there is ALWAYS something to do, even if you go to the suburbs. Were I live it is like a city within a city so we have double the fun. The beach is like a 10-15 minute drive give or take a few minutes, Magic Mountain, Raging Waters, knotts Berry Farm and the rest of the theme parks and water parks are all between 30-1 1/2 drive. We have board walks all down the various beaches, we have a prominade, and a theater on every other block. We have Hollywood and Beverly Hills. We have little lakes in what little forest we have and we have rivers and creeks in the mountains and and the deserts(whickh is everywhere). If you want snow you can have it in an hours or so drive. If you want to skii or snowboard you can drive up to Big Bear or any other shii resorts in an hour to an hour and a halfs drive. So basicly we have everything one could imagin that you can get to in less than 2 hours.

well this state is soo small you can drive from one end to the other in a matter of like... 2 hours... or 3, but theres still not much, theres the Jersey Shore, and NYC (which I don;t visit very often) Instead I just go out onto th deck at night in the winter and look through the woods and see NYC from a distance. Which isnt fun. But this state has this huge paranormal history... Actually its prolly the same as other states just crammed into less space so ghost hunting is always an option.

We have a mall and about 40 fast food places. VisionLand is about an hour away, and so is the Galleria and The Summit. But I never go there much. So there's not really anything to do here in the little hick town of Gadsden.

Man, you sure do like to be talked to. If you are opened to suggestions I've got one for you: Be patient. You won't always get a reply. I've had quite a few of my topics go without even one post. The fact is sometimes that happens and you can't let it bother you. There will be plenty of topics that will get a reply.

Back on topic, The only thing of interest here is a ranch a few stores, a park...and thats it.

Oh. Now I know why I can't live in the big apple. My mom says there's too much traffic, pollution, and crime. Who cares!

Cokies and IluvJo&Blair... you two seem to have much to do in your respective places of residence... so answer me this... why do you both have well over five hundred posts on this thing? Hahaha! Go out! Enjoy where you live! Take advantage of it!!! As you can see, the majority of the people here say their towns have nothing... I'm inclined to believe them because I can surely sympathize with a dead town. I used to live in a fairly "happening" area... and I lived so close to NYC that it would've been a crime for me to not take advantage of it. But alas, things change... and I'm stuck out here in the middle of nowhere for a while. (Hopefully not too long)

But even here, I've come to realize that where you live is what you make of it. You can be surrounded by nothing and still have a great time hanging out and such, or you can be surrounded by everything you could possibly imagine and be bored to death because you don't take advantage of it. See my point?

Despite my obsene amount of posts, it would seem that I don't 'do much'. But that's not true. I go out and hang out with friends, but you know, I've lived here for 13 years. The suberb in which I live in is situated where unless we have our driver's licences, we can't do much. Yeah, there's Vallejo, which is right next door, and Six Flags is there along with the closest cinema, but again, unless someone can drive...
And then in the other direction there's the Sunvalley Mall, which is in Concord, which is across the Benicia bridge. Again...in need of car. The city...car. Berkeley...car.
Santa Cruz...car. See where I'm getting at?

And it quite sucks when the only friend who DOES have his license and a car, is too paranoid to have people in his car. ( That six months thing still isn't up...).

Anyway, I know I shouldn't complain. We do have A LOT we can keep ourselves busy with, but I guess it's all taken for granted...

Well The Buick Open just finished here in the Flint, Mi. area.Unfortunately "Generous" Motors is slowly moving out of this area. And that will hurt the city and surrounding areas. The city has been slowly dying for a number of years. As to what is there to do? well Detroit is only an hour away and so is Canada.Alot to do there!Casinos, Concerts, Museums, etc.And a lot of Malls within driving distance. Also we are within an hours drive to Lake Huron and the other lakes which are further away.I guess it all depends on what you like to do!

I'm just like Cookies. I can't really do much because I can't drive. And the few friends that can drive, my parents wouldn't dare let me drive around in such a big city with them. There are a few places that I can walk or take the bus to, but I don't do it often because I need money. So until I can get a job it won't happen to often. But I do understand what you are talking about.

Well, there's not much to do in town except for a few bars/dance halls. There is a park and a few gyms. Besides that, there are lots of places to go within an hours driving distance or so from where I live. The King Ranch is just to the east of town, they have tours. You have your pick of beaches to go to. The Texas State Aquarium, the U.S.S. Lexington that has been turned into a museum, the Columbus ship fleet is docked here, then of course there is horseback riding on the beach.

Depending on the time of year, we have a semi pro hockey, baseball, and basketball team in the area we can go see as well.

Same w/ a lot of ppl here: if you don't have a car, there's not a lot to do. But let's see...we have a Mountasia, a miniature golf course, Magic Mountain is 5 minutes away, we have a mall, 4 movie theaters, stuff like that. And there's lots of stuff in the San Fernando Valley (but of course, only if you have a car http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif)

ah! I know exactly how u feel! I wanna live in NYC too, soooooooooooooooooo bad!!!!!!! In my lame excuse for a town about the only thing to do is go bowling(but I've gone bowling so many times now that I'm sick of it!) and we ahve a really crappy movie theatre, o and then there's a little restaurant that a lot of kids go to. But, basically everything in my town closes at like, 6:30!!!1 I'm not making that up! It's soooo stupid! I live 1/2 away from Canada, where my friend has a cottage, so it's fun to go there in the summer. The best thing near me is lake Erie, we have a boat and I love to go tubing and waterskiing off of it, and swimming, but that's only in the summer. I NEED TO LIVE IN NYC!!!!!!

My town is really small. This is what we have:
a Kings
2 pizzarias

yeah thats about it...no fast food or anything. But we can drive to Bernardsville and go to that *wonderful* cinema. LOL the theaters hold about 20 people each, and there are 3 of them. lol but I guess there is some good shopping. You can drive or take the train to NYC. And there's a bunch of malls, but they are all about 1/2 hour from us. Short Hills, Bridgewater, Rockaway, Livingston. And then there are some GREAT strip malls and just great places to shop- Chester has some cool shops. And there's and Old Navy in Gillette, which has the coolest strip mall. And Metroswimwear is right near there (they have awesome swimsuits and they are pretty cheap!) yeah and there is a six flags about 2 hours away.
