The sequel to 2004's National Treasure is on track and will begin filming early next year according to director Jon Turteltaub.
"We are just about to start preproduction. We'll have Nic, Justin Bartha, Diane Kruger, Jon Voight and Harvey Keitel. Everyone's back except anyone who's in jail or died [in the first movie]."
National Treasure 2 will continue the adventures of the Gates family as they continue to search for American treasure, both at home and abroad. National Treasure 2 should help to kick off Summer 2008's slate of movies.
