....."TITANIC" is the number 1 movie of all time, grossing $1.835 blillion worldwide, and earning 11 Oscars.

Do you like the movie? So many people say they don't like it, because of the cheesiness, and it is, but I personally love it. I can quote most of the enitire 3 hours and 14 mintue movie. I thought the cast was awesome, Leo and Kate above all. And nothing beats that sun-down scene.

Do you like the movie?

I enjoy the film as well. After such an intense effort by all parties to get the film made, it really turned out to be a highly entertaining and well-made movie...

I said this in another thread too, but I just watched it last week for about the 10th time, and I still cried! It is somewhat cheesy, but I have this stupid thing where every time I watch it, I think the boat's not going to sink lol!

I also think that Jack's going to live lol!

Seriously though, this movie was perfect in EVERY WAY! Writing, acting, everything! I own the movie on VHS, then when it came out on DVD, I bought that too!

OMG, I LOVE Titanic  I remember seeing it in the movie theatre when it came out and I loved it even then :) I've loved Leo a long time, and Kate is absolutely talented and gorgeous herself ;)

I thought the movie was well done and had awesome special effects--I felt like I was on the ship right along with the characters.

I do believe most of those 1500 people that perished with the titanic believed the same thing, that the ship wouldnt sink, beacuse white stars moto was that god himself couldnt sink her and some people believed that the ship was doomed from the moment that statement went public.

In MY opinion, "AMADEUS" is the best movie ever made! :)

I thought it was ok, but I had to pee so bad by the end of it. I just wanted Jack to hurry up and die so I could go to the bathroom.

I am one of the few people who have never seen it. I have seen the one with Clifton Webb though.

I honestly didn't find Titanic to be the least bit cheesy. Personally, I thought it was an extremely well told love story. Great film!!!

I saw Titanic in theatres, bought the collectors edition video cassettes when they came out, bought the DVD, taped it off pay per view, and taped it when it finally aired on network tv. So, I think it's safe to say that I thought the film was pretty darn good.:lol::lol:

I loved The Titanic. Great big-budget glossy movie with excellent special effects. It was so sad, especially knowing that there really was a Titanic.

I've been a Titanic buff for over 20 years anyway, so I was first in line to see the movie. It's one of the few movies that I own.

Sounds like you did everything but go on an excursion to the bottom of the ocean where the Titanic lies.

There are so many movies I like, but a common thread of my favorites is that they are movies where the person or team who is down triumphs in the end, for example Rocky, Rudy, Hoosiers, Karate Kid, etc. I could have seen them for the hundredth time and they never fail to affect me.

One of my other, one of my most favorite movies--which is not in this category at all, but to me is just plain funny--is My Cousin Vinny. I've heard the same lines and dialogue over and over and they're as funny to me as the first time I saw the movie. A great cast: Joe Pesci, Fred Gwynn, Marissa Tomei, Ralph Macchio...

I forgot. I also like ALL the Crocodile Dundee movies, Patton (especially the speech at the beginning)--and The Long Gray Line
