View Full Version : There were a LOT OF KIDS in the audience for the Filming of"Young at Heart"-lol

Damm all through the ep all I heard was SCREAMING KIDS every time something funny happened. They eally went crazy when that teenage guy was dancing.


The Two Best Scenes in Young at Heart that has me watching this ep for the 15th Time in 4 days-lol


Scene 1: The young guy dancing while Norton, Ralph and Alice was watching

Scene 2: Norton teaching ralph how to do the Huckle Buck



This episode should have gotten some type of award

In the Defense of the Kids they did have lots of reasons to SCREAM-LOL That ep was just WILD!

I dislike this episode because of the young kids in the audience.

The screaming kids were there because Ronnie Burns was the guest (son of George and Gracie) and he was very popular at that time with the girls.

...he was supposed to be making some "cool moves" that causes Ralph, Ed and Alice to wonder "what planet he came from" [i.e., who can figure out the younger generation?]. I believe there were a special group of kids that were invited to attend the filming of this episode in late 1955 (I don't know WHAT group they were affiliated with), and they were in the majority of the people in that audience in the Adelphi Theater that day. Ronnie Burns received a new '56 Buick for his appearance- perhaps in his forthcoming autobiography, we'll find out what happened to it!

That's kind of like the scene in "Box Top Kid" (I think) when Norton walks into the apartment wearing shorts. The first time I saw that episode I didn't understand what was so strange about that, but I guess in the 50's it was a little unusual.

I don't mind the kids in the audience LAUGHING....but when they start yelling out stuff like "DON'T FALL DOWN!" when Ralph starts to dance, that's too much!

Every since the age of 9 when I discovered the show in syndication in 1984 here in Philly. I haven't seen it 20 years which is why I bought the classic 39 eps on DVD and I posted about the eps

My husband is obsessed with the show. We used to watch it back in the 80s. I should buy him the DVDs, but he's seen every episode so many times.

Yeah, I always liked that, actually. LOL. I love how they start laughing for no reason. And they were very loud.

I don't think they were laughing for no reason, I recall them laughing at Ralph and when that young guy was trying to dance
