Ok...so I'm designing a new class for myself to teach at a arts charter school, and I need to include movies, books, plays, and songs....I was hoping anyone could offer suggestions of these types of works that fit into the following guidelines...

Appropriate and interesting for high school seniors.
Fit one of 3 themes: Courage, myth/reality, transformations

Thank you so much for any ideas!!

Here is a list of AFI's 100 most inspiring films.

Some of them are more appropriate in the "courage" category than others.

I would pick these:

Schindler's List
Mr. Smith Goes To Washington
Spartacus
Braveheart
Rocky
Cool Hand Luke

I would recommend the movie Ladyhawke. I had a mythology class in High School that is one of the movies we were shown.
