I thought the episdode-"Song Writers" was apart of the Classic 39 eps. I noticed tonight it's a lost ep from 1954.

There's a total of 103 lost episodes that aired on the Jackie Gleason Show from 1952-1957, including the original 1957 Trip to Europe episodes. However, only 76 of those episodes can be found on MPI's current DVD release, and a total of 78 on their previous VHS release. MPI is planning a re-release of the lost episodes for some time around the end of this year or the beginning of next, hopefully including the 27 missing episodes. If you need any additional information let me know.

There were 7 sketches with Pert Kelton as Alice that aired on Gleason's Cavalcade of Stars in 1951, these have been dubbed "The Really Lost Episodes." An additional two were done on the Ed Sullivan Show in late 51/early 52, before Gleason took his show to CBS and replaced Pert Kelton with Audrey Meadows. None of these sketches have been officially released, but the 7 Cavalcade sketches aired on a special hosted by Paul Reiser in the early 90's, if I'm not mistaken. I have a feeling if these do get released, the 2 Ed Sullivan sketches probably won't be included, since they didn't air on Cavalcade or the Paul Reiser special.

7, wow I was thinking there would be more than that. I am going to have to look for that special now. I have a three tape collection called "Jackie Gleason Comedy Classics" from Passport video. The first tape is a documentary called And Away We Go. Anyway they show a good amount of Calvalcade on it.
If you are wondering what the other tapes are, one is Jackie Gleason on the Frank Sinatra Show and the other is a whole Jackie Gleason Show episode with Wayne Newton as a guest star. On the box it lists it as a television special, but it has American Scene Magazine opening.

There may have been more, but if I remember correctly, DuMont destroyed a lot of their kinescopes, which could explain why there's only 7 Honeymooners sketches left in existence.
Also, now that I think of it, Paul Reiser hosted two specials, one showed 6 of the sketches and the other showed the 7th, which was the 1951 Christmas special (the original version of the 1952 and 1953 Honeymooners Christmas shows).

I take it this is one of the two, I didn't see a IMDB link for the other one.

Yeah that's the one that shows the 6 sketches. I can't seem to find the other one on IMDB either. If you'd like to get your hands on both specials, PM me.
