My mother just called me to tell me that she put my dog I had in high school asleep today. He was old and really sick, but now I feel guilty for not being there to say "goodbye". I hate it when pets die.

I'm so sorry. My first dog died about four years ago and I know the guilt your feeling. I never spent enough time with her.
Just remember that he is happier were he is now. You had a lifetime with him. Though you were not their physically I'm sure he was thinking about you.

I'm sorry to hear that. That is so sad! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/crying.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/crying.gif I worry about that from time to time...ever since I started being away from home so much. I worry that something will happen to my dog and I'll never get to say goodbye. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/crying.gif Hope you start to feel better soon.

Ya when my dog Abby died I was at Bible School and when I came home my dad looked at me with a sad face and told me that he accidentally drove over her with the grain truck and what was worse was the night before I was being very cruel to the dog I was spraying bug spray on her because she had tons of flys on her ears and she didn't like the spray so I keeped spraying her because I thought it was funny but now I wish I would of been nicer to her that day.

Gosh, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. And without even saying goodbye...that's terrible. I'm so sorry. But I know you'll fell better soon. Just like Max said, your dog is thinking of you right now. He's probably in doggie heaven right now with all the Kibbles and Bits he can eat. Or Purina, whatever fits his fancy. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif

I'm sorry about your loss. My dog I had for 13 years died last year and we all were heartbroken. I was there to say goodbye(she had liver cancer and was having tremors from the toxins in her blood)and it was tough. Don't feel gulity. I'm sure he's with you right now. You'll know he's around when things he used to do start happening. The night my dog died I heard her fingernails go across the wall! And it wasn't my imagination either. I know your dog is with you right now and will be forever. Animals are the best and Cokies is right. He's probably having all the Kibbles and Bits...and bits...and bits he can handle right about now! You and your dog will be in my prayers because it's probably one of the toughest things that could happen to anyone. Feel better Coily.

Oh I'm so sorry for you. A long time ago my grandma's dog got put to sleep. At the time I was too young to know what put to sleep meant, that was like 6 years ago when I was 6. I thought she was just going to sleep but then she wasn't coming back and I was very sad after that. I loved that dog. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/crying.gif But don't worry things will be fine.

I can sympathize. I've had twelve pets in my life and three of them died. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/crying.gif
I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. I know how hard that is. I was away at college when my parents had to put my dog to sleep and it was rough. I wished I could have seen her one last time but it was not to be. Dogs give us such love while they are here and it is always so hard when they die. My thoughts are with you.
