......if real life was the way it was in commercials? If people really spontaneously broke into song about Taco Bell food? If that annoying kid really followed people around trying to get them to buy a Dell computer? If hordes of gorgeous men came out of the woodwork and washed your hair every time you whipped out a bottle of Herbal Essence? If you really talked about hemorroids and colon cancer with strangers in the grocery check-out line? If life-sized hot dogs chased you around that you could obliterate just by chewing gum? If huuuuge red carpets rolled out in front of your car? If everyone with a cold got huge noses that took up their whole face?
I think living in a commercial world would certainly be interesting, and would keep you on your toes.

ROFL! True, very true. I for one would burst out laughing if someone burst into the Taco Bell song "Well, I'm just a man and a guy and a dude and I'm hungry!" But you bring up an interesting point.
BTW, speaking of the commercial where everyone has a nose for a head... am I crazy or is the guy with all those flowers Al Molinaro?

"I do like the show.... It's fun to do. I like the character of Charity because she's so hopeful. She's never bitter. There's plenty of things that happen to her that could make her bitter. But she always thinks tomorrow's going to be beautiful. And someday it will be."
- Gwen Verdon
"The advertisements for the show say 'Gwen Verdon as Sweet Charity.' Note that as 'as.' Not 'starring in' or just plain 'in' or even 'in the new musical,' but 'as.' She is that girl. She is Sweet Charity and forever will be."

Interesting theory Prof. Whoosh...
I'd certainly enjoy living a lifestyle whenever I'd enter a elevator, handsome men would just start washing my hair. And of course Dr. Ruth would always there making little ambiguous remarks along the way...

I would laugh if someone started singing "I'm just a man and a guy and a dude and I'm hungrrrry..." but I would seriously have to hit anyone who started singing the "My Chalupa!" song! And whatever that other one was with that same annoying group of guys...I can't remember what song it is. I think it had something to do with cheese....

lol!! that WOULD be funny. It's kinda the same with musicals too, because it's usually somebody talking about something, and then people just break into a song about it, or start doing a dance routine. now THAT would be funny!! haha!~!

Honestly, if that Dell guy came after me to try and get me to buy a computer, I'd probably punch him. I cannot stand that guy. I believe Bootsy had made a rather interesting picture of him before....

Indeed I did. Alas....if I could get online on my own computer instead of my dad's, I would post it again. (I don't remember what thread it was in before, unless it was the annoying commercials one).

lol...it would be funny. grease funny. it was funny how they were having teenage crisises and they would break out singing about them. lol.
Have you seen the Cottonell toilet paper commercials? Lots of butts in the camera? The slogan is something like "what really clean feels like." So I guess if we were all proud of having really clean butts due to using the best toilet paper, we'd go around bragging about it to each other. We'd say stuff like, "Ewww! You stink! Don't you use cottonell?"

This is gonna show my age,but I was thinking about the commercials for High Karate they had back in the '60s and early
70s where the guy has to ward off the gorgeous gal after she
gets a whiff of the High Karate cologne he's wearing.LOL!!!!;)
Bet there are a lot of guys who wouldn't mind THAT happening
in real life.

It would certainly make life interesting. A few years ago
Tv Land had a commercial that said Tv is (I think) 34% better then real life.

*SCREAMS* It's..the..the...Ovaltine kids! *Screams in Terror*
If I was on that bus with those creamwichs I'd tear those little clay people apart and have go crazi (or should I say 'crazier'?). I hate that commercial soooo much.
The Ovaltine commercials..those kids can not act. Neither can the adults. I wouldn't mind them if they could get good actors...I mean even I could act better then those kids, and that is a scary thought.

Keeping with the TP idea...how about if 3 cartoon ladies had a daily quilting bee to stich soft toilet paper for everybody? That would be weird, and they'd have to quilt all day long to make enough! I suspect they have a sweat shop in Cambodia....

It's the same exact commercial that Ovaltine had in the sixties, or whenever it was. So I think they're supposed to sound like a bunch of regular people who can't act because, in fact, they aren't supposed to be actors, they're supposed to be real people saying, "More Ovaltine please." Which goes well with the theme of this thread in a way -- commercials being the real world.

Yeah it is basicly the same commercial it was like 40 years ago. lol, I always wondered why the kids scream at each other in it "Do you want an Oveltine shake?" "I love chocolate oveltine shakes!" "Lets go!"
Maybe theyre all going deaf....

What if you actually talked to your shampoo when you threw it away like you were ending a long-term relationship?
