Well at the Jr.High(im goin to high school this coming school year) i would say that im pretty popular....pretty much EVERY 8th grader knows who i am....i hang out with all the really popular people....so i guess so. I only have a few friends but I consider myself to be a loner. No one even knows that I exist. I'm that quiet gurl that gets ignored. However, 8th grade was a pretty bad year for me. I got teased just for stupid things and it confuses me cuz I keep to myself, I bother no one and yet, people still bother me. The way I see it, in a few years, I'll be graduating and out in the real world on my own. It won't be a popularity contest whenever we're all struggling to succeed on our own. I don't need their acceptance. They're all just people who are simply passing through my life. I could honestly care less if they like me.

at my middle school there different groups and they were all ranked, it was weird, but me hmmm was popular tough question-i wasnt a loser nor was i semi popular i was some where between popular and semi popular because i have friends in all different groups and i am like the class clown/suckup and my friend calls me a rebelious prep, i have the most complex personality, which is preety cool(my friend at camp told me i had the best personality which was cool)

but at hs-i dont know how things will change cuz im sorta friendly with my bros friends cuz we arent too far apart in age

I do talk just not that much. I talk alot to my friends. I don't really get into troble and I get good grades. I'm a little known because a lot of people know I'm smart and there was a rumor last year, in 6th grade that I skipped a grade to the 7th grade. I am nice It's not like I don't want to talk to anyone. I do but just not all the time like the people in my school. All they do is talk and most of the time they get into trouble. The other middle school in my district is more in order than my school. The other school has much nicer people and my school has a big attitude problem. Like I hold the door for everyone behind me and other kids just slam the door in people's faces they bump you and it's hard to get through the halls. I do like going to school but I just hope most of the kids were a little more polite. Oh and some kids they just put on niceness but they really aren't. I wish I lived closer to the other middle school in my district then I could of went there. I don't have a big problem with my school anyway I don't like it so much I'm not misreble or anything. I just try to get along with others and things. I'm not really that quiet but they call working very hard when your supposed to or listening to the teacher or doing something like homework on free time being too quiet. Most of those student really don't get good grades. Oh and I'm not trying to show off or anything just because I work hard. I'm just trying to be my best and to just learn. School is for learning not just playing around. I know its for fun to but they just got to know how to stop sometimes.

Yeah, it really sucks. I am one of the shyest people on the planet. If I'm around people I don't know, I just automatically clam up and when I do talk, nothing above a whisper comes out. So people think I'm really snobby.

Sometimes if I'm really nervous a whispers comes out and yeah it's not real nice to be called "The girl that doesn't talk" when I do talk but just not much. It really gets on my nerves but I don't have a real miserable time I just don't really pay attention to them. I'm not snobby or anything or something I don't even know if they think that because I really don't care much. I mean sometimes I care. Well I did get better I used not talk very much like in 5th grade, I was real quiet then and I am still now but it's improved, 6th got better. You kind of have to know that you really shouldn't be real quiet or people will start thinking bad things about you and things will be not good. After 5th grade, which I hated I wanted to change so I started doing that. I made two new friends and they are nice and I have one best friend and we have been friends since 2nd grade. After school was over I went to a fun program, for a month that you can pratice your instrument and learn more things. It was an Enrichment Program not summer school or a special help thing. I went there and I made a new friend too bad she's going to the other middle school in my district, which is the better one.

yinz guys are all quiet losers lol haha school is waaaaaaay more fun if u are loud.like in math class my teacher jus talks the whole so i'm bad in that class and I act up and throw my book bag off my desk and fall outta my seat and throw pencils at my teacher just so people will laugh and have a fun time in math class.If it wasnt for people like me then school would suck who would be there to cause scenes and get in trouble and make class pause while u get yelled at. Like in band lol I get kicked out EVERY day and Mr.Riffle would sit and yell at me 4 five minutes and everybody would clap because I made them lose 5 minutes of class and it makes them happy.Like when me and my cousin Jessie got kicked outta band 4 a week he spent a whole day tellin the class not to do what we did or they will join us in ISS.People even pass me notes and ask me to get kicked out because it is boring!

Maybe we would actually get things done. It's people who ALWAYS get in trouble that really tick me off. Take history last year. My class was filled with the biggest troublemakers in my school. We didn't get our curriculum finished. We got through everything up to the Civil War. Ninth grade history starts with reconstruction after the Civil War. Hmmmm, guess what big even in history I know NOTHING about? All I know is the North won. Because of people like you. am i a trouble maker? tough question... im too big of a suck up to get in trouble for whatever i do but last year i only got one detention and that was for chewing gum

but im a "rebelious prep" according to my friends, i was always getting kicked out of chrous in 6th grade but i dont mess around in normal subjects only electives

even though i did my share of messing around in electives i A- G.P.A., people at first think i am dumb a$$ cuz of chrous/ceramics but im not

but even when i do something wrong in a regular class most of my teachers have a blind eye for it, like i came in 15 minuets late and i was accused and someone had come in before me and got busted

Well, it depends. Because popularity in high school does exsist, but it's not the same popularity that exsists in middle school or junior high.
Like, I have have a lot of aquintences(sp?) from all different "cliques" ( God, I hate that word), but I really only hang out with a few select "best friends".
In middle school, you had to like the same things, listen to the same music to be in one group. You could never venture into another group who dressed differently than you and so on.
But now, nobody really cares about that anymore. Which is great! As long as you have a good attitude, and a few things in common with a person, you can be friends with anyone. Oh, and a sense of humor. That's a good thing too to have.
So, in that sense, I'm pretty 'well-known' in my grade. Enough to start campaigning for "Biggest Clutz" in the Senior Hall Of Fame the year after this. Woo-hoo! Vote for me! *slips on wet floor, sending schoolbooks hurtling everywhere* See, I'm getting a headstart already!

ok...my school is sooooooo cliquey (lol sp?) itz not even funny. we have like..such groups that people r just put into without their knowledge. there r so many groups...and they rank...like my school feels some people in school are beneath some people and it really ticks me off but o well. im a quiet person around strangers....but when you get to know me i'm really loud. im no trouble-maker. heck..i've never even gotten detention be4! im pretty shy and try to get good grades and all that. but in my school im considered to be in the lower middle group. dont even ask. ugh my school is so annoying with all the cliques and all that.

Wow... that was better than what I got. I received "Most likely to become a Rock Star - Female" and "Most likely to be arrested before 5 year reunion". I was high up on the yearbook staff, so I changed the page in the yearbook with the "Most" categories to read the most popular was "most bitchy". The stupid publisher caught it though after it went to press and called the teacher. Luckily I had already graduated, because he was pissed!

This is true of college too. Even more so. As you get older, the concept of "popularity" dwindles to the point that it doesn't even really exist anymore.

Hey, I know what that feels like. I am actually pretty shy and not talkative around people I don't know....in that I usually will not start the conversation at least...once it gets going I'll usually join in....but anyway, yeah, my freshman year in the dorms I wasn't really friends with alot of people on my floor (though I had friends on other floors) because I just didn't have that much in common with them, and on the last day of school, this one girl and me are by the elevators and she goes "So...why don't you ever, like, talk?" I was like..."I dunno, cause I'm pretty shy." She kind of laughs under her breath and goes "Oh. I just thought it was because you were a bitch." I was shocked b/c I didn't know that people thought that way. I never think like that when I encounter a shy person, I just think they are shy.

And I could be wrong, but in reality, I don't think very many people think like that. Most people probably just ignore shy kids or think that they are shy. I honestly believe that the people who think you are a snob just because you're shy are the kinds of people that have issues and insecurities with themselves.

Well, truthfully EVERYONE knows my opinion on them because if you all havent noticed I'm REAL good at voicing my opinion... I'm un popular because my freinds are so geeky and dumb (litterally) and I hate them and want too move on, but they follow me around and have ruined me. Anyway everyone knows my name... Then again theres only 60 peeps in my grade... But people recognize me for what I say in tough situations...

Ex.:

Mr Thomas: Ok everyone take out your homework.
Dana: Oh crap...
Mr Thomas: Dana? Where's your homework?
Dana: At home?
Mr Thomas: Well did you do it?
Dana: N... No.
Mr Thomas: And WHY didn't you do it!?
Dana: Well we were down the shore, and we were gonna leave but the clock fell off the wall and broke! And then we didn't know how late it weas and didn't get home until 8:55... On Sunday, and I had something really important too do and I cicn't have a chance!
Mr Thomas: Oh Please Dana! Don't start with the excuses!
Dana: Well you asked why it wasn't done!!!
Mr Thomas:.... Well, uh... Heh, yeah I guess I did didn't I?

And now everyone passes by and says "Hey Dana, u get your clock fixed yet?" or "If its that big of a problem I'll just buy you a clock!" but they don't mean it too be harsh, just as a joke... Then I throw something at them, they laugh and its over... I'm known for my big mouth, that I use way too often. But usually something rude and mean comes out of it and people don't like me for that but thats their problem and after next year I go into High School with 2,500 students 600 per grade so that all may change, I'll have a chance too make new, normal freinds and find someone I can stand too be alone with for 10 minuits... One who preferably isnt addicted too something like most people at our High school.

Gee with that kind of attitude I'm shocked you're not the post popular person in your state! Maybe if you didn't say something rude or mean almost everytime you opened your mouth you'd be able to make new friends. Sounds to me like you should be happy you have some people still willing to hang around you. It's their problem if they don't like the fact that rude things are said to them?! Well, yeah, I guess so, but you're gonna be the one that ends up with no friends. Sounds like it's at least partly your problem.

(And really, you shouldn't yell at me for this post..well I can't stop you...maybe you are a nice person, but really I am only making a judgement based on how YOU presented YOURSELF....so if you don't want people passing judgements on you maybe you should present yourself in a better light. Just sounds to me like maybe you should look into getting an attitude adjustment.)
