Bryan Adams wrote this for Princess Diana many years before she even had William and Harry. He performed it for her on a trip she made to Canada and she loved it although she was quite embarrassed.

'Wonderful Tonight' ~ Eric Clap to his wife, Patti Boyd
I thought Eric Clapton wrote "Layla" for Patti Boyd. Or did "Slowhand" write both for her?
Anyway, I'll also mention Waylon Jennings' "Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way" (about Hank Williams, Sr.--not Jr.) and the flip side "Bob Wills Is Still The King" from 1975.

Lionel wrote some of the worlds best love songs. He also wrote "Lady" by Kenny Rogers, my fave song my Kenny. Three times a lady is a song that gives me shivers whenever I hear it. It is so beautiful.

It's actually Norma Jean, don't want to upset the Marilyn fans out there. And he and Taupin (his co-writer) changed the lyrics to Candle in the Wind, so that it came out a different song but with the same title.

"More Love" is one of his most beautiful songs. Kim Carnes 1980 version is pretty good too.
