The cast of DreamWorks Animation's "Shrek the Third" just continues to expand, adding a slew of funny men and women.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Strangers With Candy" star Amy Sedaris and "Saturday Night Live" alums Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph and Cheri Oteri to play some of the most famous women in fairy tales. Sedaris will voice Cinderella, with Poehler as Snow White, Rudolph as Rapunzel and Oteri as Sleeping Beauty.

The ladies are all part of an underground ladies resistance movement formed by Cameron Diaz's Princess Fiona against the intentions of Rupert Everett's Prince Charming.

Meanwhile, Ian McShane ("Deadwood"), John Krasinski ("The Office") and Eric Idle (all that Monty Python stuff) are in place to voice Captain Hook, Sir Lancelot and Merlin, respectively.

All of these new voices join the likes of Mike Myers, Diaz, Eddie Murphy, Antonio Banderas, Justin Timberlake, John Cleese and Julie Andrews, who either return to the wildly successful franchise or were previously announced.

"Shrek the Third" is set for release next May 18.

Another Shrek sequel. I think they should have stopped after the first Shrek movie. Just my opinion. The original was better than the second one.
a Shrek 4 is in the works too :)
