I think it is unfair to categorize people in that way based on they look or act.

It is one thing to say that someone may seem slutty, but it is another thing altogether to say that they are.

Some people may even purposely put forth that image even when it is not what they are really like. Let's face it, Britney is as much a pre-packaged record company creation as *NSync and BSB, and it is probably not entirely her choice to dress and/or act that way. She is most likely told what to wear much of the time.

Even if she is not, it is her perogative what to wear and it is sad that by doing so she is inviting the scathing and uneducated bias of a world that doesn't even know her.

I may not like her music, and may feel she is just another untalented passing fad, but I am far from making judgements about the character of a person I don't even know.

Hmmmm.......interesting, how something that when done by Madonna 20 years ago was liberating for female sexuality is now turning around and biting women on the ass.

And why are we not making judgements on men's character????? Because it is still OK for men to be sexually liberated but not women?!?

I think this topic is unfair. None of you have ever met these women whom you are labelling as 'sluts', ergo you cannot possibly have any real idea of what they are like. You are basing your opinion of them simply on what they wear which is very unfair. You will probably find, if you asked half of these women, that they don't even like wearing these kinds of clothes - but they have to because it's part of an image manufactured for them by a manager or record company.
I am especially upset that you would call Britney a slut! I found her admission that she is a virgin and will wait till she's married to have sex very noble. I'm not saying she's right and I'm not saying that I would do the same thing. What I'm saying is it's nice to see someone from my generation who beleives that sex is something special and not just some casual act that has no real import or meaning.
The bottom line is you are all judging these women on looks. That is something which I am sure you all know is unfair and wrong.
