Why the hell would I be that close to the screen trying to watch a TV Program?-lol There is no way I can watch a TV show on a Laptop/PC mainly because I'm used to being in a comfortable situation when watching TV and never had to view something that close up. Who else is in-"I Can never watch TV On a PC" club?

It's not my preferred way, but I have warmed up to it a little in the past 6 months or so. I still like the TV better though, watching on the computer is if I can't watch it on TV.

I thought the only time someone would watch TV on a Laptop is while they are on the plane. Other than that, U cant watch TV on a computer at Work and watching it at home makes no sense because you can just watch the TV-lol

Not unless there's only one tv available and you don't want to disturb the other person. I watch things that I've missed for whatever reason out of You Tube and the only 'news' segments that I see come from cyberspace.

I've gone to You Tube and watched TV shows that I haven't seen in YEARS, so if that's your only way to see something that you haven't seen in a while then I have no problem with it. But I would never pay to watch TV on my computer.
While at work I have gone to my local news websites to watch the news.

You can always plug a laptop on your TV and watch on the big screen. I've watched episodes of Perfect Strangers that way on In2TV.com
Solomon, what if TVLand.com aired episodes of Checking In? What would you do?

There are some shows not aired on American television that I have to download that I like to watch, like Canadian Idol.

I've done that also, I've hooked it up through my VCR.

You take a cable and hook it up to the Video output on your laptop and plug that up to the input part on your TV or VCR, and there you have it. It's kinda like hooking up your DVD player or something, not hard to do.

I don't think it's stupid, but then again, I have a valid need to watch some of my DVDs on the computer.
I live in the UK, and our DVD player can't play American (Region 1) DVDs - it can only play European (Region 2) DVDs. I've ordered my Taxi DVDs from America, since they haven't been released in England, but can't play them on the TV, because they're Region 1, and the DVD player won't play them.
However, our computer will play Region 1 DVDs! So that's how I watch Taxi; I watch it at the computer.

It's not something I would do all the time, but sites like TV Party you learn a lot of info.

I watch DVDs (of both TV shows and movies) on my flat-screen computer ...
because it is the only DVD player that I have. But I don't sit directly in front
of the computer screen; I lay on my bed about 4 feet away from the screen.
I don't think that it is a good idea to sit too close to any screen for a long
period of time.
