So, I found this forum since I just got the ultimate set today (it was worth the 60 bucks I paid, even though I'm not that into the paranormal stuff.)

Anyway, I have searched all over the internet to try and find this case, but no luck (doesn't help that I'm sketchy on the facts.) I recall these two people at gunpoint robbing, I believe a bank, and they took a man hostage, and nothing has been heard since, and the man had looked up at the security cam as he was being lead away. Can anyone give me the details to this story or if there was closure? Getting major goosebumps just typing it up.

Also, anyone have text of the Chaim Weiss segment? Have found almost nothing about this online. I am versed in jewish law as well as the folklore traditions that are often treated as law by some ultra-Orthodox/Chassidic sects, so I may be able to explain anything to someone, if there is some spirtiual aspect to the crime that isn't understood. Thanks, this is a great resource.

The first one sounds like Dale Kerstetter. If so, it was not a bank but his place of employment, and platinum was being stolen. With or without Dale's help. Split verdict around here. In fact, there was a thread maybe a month ago. Search this forum and you'll find older threads as well.

Regarding Chaim Weiss, crystaldawn is probably the best source for text but you might have to deal with all caps, her occasional cheap and diabolical thrill.

Cannotsleep, you got a great deal on the Ultimate Set. I paid $50 bucks alone for the Bizarre Murders one at a Suncoast. Well I could have got that cheaper online but I got impatient and wanted it then so I shelled out the $50 bucks. Still $60 bucks for 25 dvds isn't bad by any strech:)

Yeah I dont know if Dale was involved in that or not. It is weird because he looks up in the camera. I dont know if it because he is being cocky and thinking I am getting away with this. Or is he looking up in the camera because he is silently asking for help? They found his lunch and all of his other stuff in the lunch room didnt they? It was as if he had sat down for lunch and just gone out for a minute as if he would be coming back anytime. I know his kids said they thought he wasnt in on it because he left a carton of cigarettes in his truck and they said he never went anywhere without his cigarettes and that he was a chain smoker so he was smoking constantly. I dont know what to make of it.

Thanks Awsi....:p

I have the segment on tape if you're interested. If you'll do a search on these boards there's quite a bit of discussion about it. His cousin even posted on here in the last few months. Here is an old article I found about him:

As far as Dale Kerstetter, I certainly don't think he left willingly. If he were robbing his place of employment and wanted to escape and never be found I don't think he would have purposely looked up at the camera. Instincts would say you wouldn't want them to know it was you so I certainly think he looked up at the camera as a cry for help. I definitely think it was an inside job though and that Dale probably knew the person walking next to him in the surveillance footage.

Yeah, thats the guy. That segmet scared the hell out of me when I first saw it, and whenever I thought about it every few years. Just seemed so bizarre.

I got the set during deepdiscountdvd's latest 20% off sale, which is always good for deals.

About to read the weiss article. Stonewalling is common in the Hasidic community. They'd rather live with their own system of law and discipline, and not involve the "goyim."
